we still have time to back out of the paye deal if we wanted to, nothings in stone until the league yr startsRI RAIDER wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 7:44 am It sucks not getting those picks and bypassing further fixing the OL (which we were more than likely going to do with the Ravens picks). I also think we would have not signed Paye. I'm actually GLAD that we are going through with all our signings. It would have been a bad look for us if we did not.

If Maxx was on another team and they let him hit FA, we picked him up on the deal that’s already in place, it’s an A plus all day, every day.
if in fact, his head is on straight, which I believe it will be, he has far more support already to really flourish.....

I hope if the Raiders honor all of their prior commitments that they put out a statement reminding everyone that they’re an organization of their word.mstrbass2000 wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 7:57 am we still have time to back out of the paye deal if we wanted to, nothings in stone until the league yr starts

mad max need guaranteed money on his remaining yrs...that was the issue, players and agents always look at the guaranteeed money and while max and his party never said it publicly they worked in teh back ground sending messages thru the media, max said he would retire as a raider he may get his chance now if the raiders rework his deal properly and lower his cost avg over the next few yrsNewEraX25 wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 7:56 am The dude wanted out, what makes you think he wants to restructure his contract?

...I believe I have already read somewhere this morning that they have made a statement that they intend to honor all of their deals.DrDUne wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 8:00 am I hope if the Raiders honor all of their prior commitments that they put out a statement reminding everyone that they’re an organization of their word.

agree...raiders can keep kwitty and madmax and still have money left to sign others if we rework max's deal to lower his base salaryDrDUne wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 8:00 am I hope if the Raiders honor all of their prior commitments that they put out a statement reminding everyone that they’re an organization of their word.

It would be a BAD look if we did not honor those commitments. That is not something we should entertain. We need to get out of this hole (laughingstock) that we dug ourselves in to.DrDUne wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 8:00 am I hope if the Raiders honor all of their prior commitments that they put out a statement reminding everyone that they’re an organization of their word.

After all this I think Mad Maxx will come back meaner and hungrier to prove he's still elite, and at the end of the season will have better stats than Trey H no matter which jersey he'll be wearing.

My hair is a lot shorter but I made it through the night.HesterLayes wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 7:48 am Jeevo-you ok now? lol
Adding an all pro instead of pick 14 I guess…
We can still work on the OL easily
I’m actually more pissed at the Ravens today after hearing basically the entire NFL talking head community state the obvious, we got screwed.

I hate to hope for an injury but he's already injured. Here's hoping Hendrickson can't play much this year.haji81872 wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 6:28 am 100 percent, they saw they could just sign Trey and keep their picks. Trey is not passing a physical any easier than Max would have. The medical excuse is such crap.
Ravens are screwed if they think anyone will ever deal with them again. That includes a lot of agents.

Yup, I’d bet on Maxx having the better year. The traits that made him a guy you’d give two first for aren’t going anywhere.Sold My Soul wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 8:04 am After all this I think Mad Maxx will come back meaner and hungrier to prove he's still elite, and at the end of the season will have better stats than Trey H no matter which jersey he'll be wearing.

Was listening to Qadry Ismail on the drive to work, he’s on the Ravens radio team, and he pretty much admitted it. Even insiders can’t fake it.DrDUne wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 7:59 am I was going to root against the Ravens for the better draft pick next year.
Now I will root against the Ravens indefinitely.
Bush league.
