Welp, the Raiders find a way to keep manufacturing shit.
If Maxx stays, he'll still play harder than anyone else on the team and he'll make plays all season. He's a sure thing, unlike any draft pick. I'd just like to see the new coaching staff limit his time on the field to something sane. There's a lot of wear and tear on those tires.
Welcome back, Maxx!

This was and still is a seller's market. There arent enough edges to satisfy the demand. That hasnt changed.Jeevo wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 9:07 pm There may be a good deal that materializes yet. Listening to Sirius and a lot of teams are scrambling right now to figure out how to react to this news. Maybe a new player, who struck out in free agency so far, emerges.

Unless Maxx is more hurt than we know of, this is not a bad situation. We still have enough cap space to keep everyone signed including our large draft class. Maxx is a dog, he’s not the kind of guy to not give it 100% if he comes back.

And if the NFL does nothing because of the good ol' boys click then they can expect, and should expect, more of the same down the road.LayneStaley wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 10:05 pm

Ravens aren’t paying Linderbaum 27MELCAraiderfan wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 9:13 pm Well f[raiders_icon]ck.
Now we all have to just hold our on and hope that ALL of the other FA acquisitions we've made/offered happen tomorrow at 12pm ET. Especially Trey. IF we don't get him and he goes back to the ravens, then the NFL HAS to step in and penalize baltimore and penalize them huge. Would that happen, who knows.
Also if the ravens just happen to sign Trey Hendrikson then the NFL needs to void that FA acquisition and penalize them heavily.
Just going to have to sit around and watch what happens the next 15 hours.
one final thing, NFL needs to end this type of bullshit happening by not allowing any kind of early before the start of the nfl season any type of player acquisitors.
So NFL transactions for the new year are not allowed to take place until the official start of the NFL season which then would make ALL of the trades, Free Agency signings, everything set in stone and shit like this bullshit the assholes in balt pulled can't happen.

No matter where Crosby lands if he produces which I have zero reservations he will and the ravens fall on hard times especially because they can't put pressure on quarterbacks they will be the laughing stock of the league.ALLRAIDERWORLD21 wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 11:45 pm Ravens aren’t paying Linderbaum 27M. They’d also have to pay him more because of Maryland state tax. I can 100% guarantee you though that the Raiders signing him after taking two of their first round picks didn’t sit well with them. Plus they lost other players and started panicking so GM and owner had to do a 180 and get those picks back. Who they’re not getting back is Linderbaum..he’s ours now.

Was surprised that this happened to Crosby failing a physical….truth is that if Crosby come back to play for raiders then he will really need to cut down his playing time….at the moment he in for 100% of the plays; where now he needs to be in for say the 75% of the plays and in game where the raiders have loss the game and have no chance of winning; he will need to bench so that he ready for next week game

I would tell the Ravens, “The price has gone up, it’s now 3 first round picks”LayneStaley wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 7:47 pm No thx, I don’t want the FO to look weak. Brady would smash his own balls before he agreed to take less from them after this.

It’s kinda painting a picture of a guy who despite his manic will to play, may in some respects be uncoachable when it comes to what’s best for him, for a game, for the team.
I don’t think Maxx has listened to anyone tell him what to do as it relates to football until the end of last season when he reacted very much like a guy not use to being told what to do.
We can see why the new FO were willing to move him besides it making logical sense to do so as a team rebuilding. Can’t have different rules for any player, even your biggest star. And definitely can’t have a player unwilling to listen.
They’re gonna need to open up to every team, including the Patriots. The worse thing about the absolute filthy cocksucking pos Ravens is that everyone has a lot less money to spend than they did 4 days ago.
I don’t think we’ll get the same level of compensation, turns out it was too good to be true, but if we can at least get one 1st, make it for next year where draft pick value may be less, but the actual draft will be much more rewarding with multiple 1sts.
Also, Ravens are f[raiders_icon]cking scumbags. May their season be f[raiders_icon]cked and may it begin a long litany of dogshit loser seasons.

This situation highlights the fragility of the NFL economy. A 'gentleman's agreement' only works when everyone acts like a gentleman. The whole of free agency has now been thrown off kilter because one team has not honoured their obligations. Every team was acting based on the knowledge of Maxx going to the Ravens and what the compensation would be. We certainly did with the pass rusher signings. A team's direction, roster build, and cap space are all predicated on every team doing what they say they are going to do.
Well the whole pack of cards has come tumbling down now and I don't believe for a second that a failed medical is the cause. Clearly he wouldn't be able to take a snap right now but this has been known league-wide since his surgery.
The shockwaves of this will ripple across the league now. I suspect many teams just won't deal with the Ravens at all moving forward.
The NFL will likely contemplate rules changes to stop this happening again (although I'm quite sure they will love all the engagement from a shocking story). Personally, I'd like to see some sort of deposit system. If teams agree a trade then they have to put a 2nd/3rd round draft pick up as collateral. Trade falls through? The other team gets the pick. Obviously this would need some tinkering.
Perhaps medicals be performed independently? It would be easy enough to set up and only the buying and selling team get to see the results.
For now, Maxx remains a Raider. As long as he is, then I'll continue to support him and look forward to the mayhem and carnage he brings on the field. If we trade him, then I'll look forward to whatever we do with the compensation. In the meantime, I hope the Ravens fail miserably forever.

So.... life as a Raiders fan... turmoil and chaos
I'm not mad. I look at it this way, we got the one guy that most of us thought we would never get (Linderbaum)... and now we keep Maxx, unless another team steps up. I don't see this as a loss at all. I seriously doubt this will affect any of the other aquisitions. If it does............ we got Linderbaum.
Kubiak... Linderbaum... Mendoza... Bowers... Jeanty... Maxx (for now)... the others we aquired (if nothing happens)... This has been a total win for this franchise.
The Ravens suck and the shit they pulled will come back to bite their ass in the future. The sky isn't falling... it's opening up to a bright, new future.
