Free Agency thread for Raiders and league-wide
Free agency opens March 11. CBS Sports has their top 50 ranking. No Raiders on the list. I am surprised at a couple rated high - Aaron Rodgers and Daniel Jones. Lots of wide receivers

God, I had a Barret Robins flashback...KillerRaider30 wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 7:30 am Colts right tackle Braden Smith took a significant leave of absence at the end of the 2024 season due to a severe mental health crisis.
Diagnosis: In 2024, Smith was diagnosed with a form of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) called religious scrupulosity.
This condition caused him to experience debilitating, intrusive thoughts and compulsions related to his faith and moral standing.
Leave of Absence: On the day before Thanksgiving in 2024, the struggle became overwhelming, leading him to step away from the team.
He was placed on the Non-Football Illness (NFI) list and missed the final five games of the 2024 season.
Treatment: Smith sought intensive help, which included:
Inpatient Facility: He spent 48 days in a specialized mental health facility in Colorado.
Alternative Therapy: He traveled to Mexico for treatment with ibogaine and 5-MeO-DMT, substances he credited with "resetting" his brain and allowing him to find peace.
Return to Play: After his recovery, Smith returned for the 2025 season under a restructured contract.
He started 13 games in 2025 before suffering a concussion and neck injury in Week 14 that ended his season on Injured Reserve.
Out because my nephew plays next to him at RG and told me he did have mental struggles.

Mr Swift is getting old, past his prime. Maybe we'll get to watch him play like crap. Here's hoping.Sold My Soul wrote: Mon Mar 09, 2026 7:55 pm On another note....was hoping Mrs Kelce would just retire and fade off my TV so I wouldn't have to watch her or her husband in the queefs box every 60 second cutaways.![]()

Probably watched a lot of film and concluded we do have some talent on the line. Still need a RT though, and I wouldn't mind a developmental left tackle to replace Miller someday (which may be sooner rather than later)DanKD wrote: Mon Mar 09, 2026 8:59 pm Definitely some revealing info about some aspects of what Spytek and Kubiak think of the roster. They clearly thought our LB were a big weakness. The lack of a guard tells me they may like JPJ and Rogers as starters.

Happy with the staff and FAs we signed. Koolaid is flowing.
Asked Google “Which NFL team had the best FA day today”
“As of March 9, 2026, the Las Vegas Raiders are widely considered to have had the best start to free agency, utilizing over $120 million in cap space to sign top talent like center Tyler Linderbaum ($27M/year), LB Quay Walker, and DE Kwity Paye.”
I’m still guarded though. Been way too many years of suffering to fall for this just yet :)
