Will you STFU with this nonsense? It was a business decision based on leveraging maximum value from a player that was a luxury more than a necessity to a team committed to a rebuild, and as far as that "disciplined" organization Tom Brady came from, explain Aaron Hernandez?Cruisin with Tooz wrote: Fri Mar 06, 2026 8:35 pm Because instilling the right culture is an important consideration to me. Knowing that that incident was the tipping point would show the type of culture they want -- one where no one is above the rules. And it wouldnt surprise me if that played a part given that Brady played for a very disciplined organization and he and his protege, Spytek, are now in charge.
Apparently you do not follow the social media activities of other players who play in different NFL "cultures?"
It is not a one size fit's all world and has never been despite what you think you learned from the 90 level organizational leadership classes you took online.

Spytek did really well here, great trade. IF done right, this team can add a bunch of talent really quickly. Maxx's contract itself is going to to free up enough money for like 2 good players, and then you add the first rounders in and thats 4 legit additions.

Or Maxx and Henry the amount they both play.
Last I checked you need 22 starters. This is the quickest way to start that process, thinking we did better than alright with this trade.

I agree. Nail the picks and start winning before the rookie contract's expire. Sounds easy enough, right? LoLJRaider17 wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 5:35 am Spytek did really well here, great trade. I'm happy the saga is over, and we can look forward to team building instead of dwelling on the Maxx debate. The draft just got much more interesting.

Plus a new coaching staff. It could backfire.Viper wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 5:35 am Or Maxx and Henry the amount they both play.

Didn’t Hondo promise some juicy details when Maxx got dealt? I know everyone has their opinion but he was pretty confident he’d be gone and said he’d give all the details. Love him or hate him, I’m curious what he’ll say.
On 1.25x of course.

I've wondered about whether Crosby would be looking for a new deal if traded. I suspect the answer is no, or the Ravens would not have given up as much in trade. Selfishly I hope he gets a new deal because it's always good when other teams have to spend more on their own players as it just leaves less for them to spend in FA. However you would hope that a guy who talks that much about wanting to be on a competitive team just settles in and plays for the contract he has.

I cannot listen to Hondo at any speed. I think I must have muted him because I don't even see retweets anymore. Same with Renz.BG3428 wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 6:25 am Didn’t Hondo promise some juicy details when Maxx got dealt? I also don't care about the details of how this came about, I'm moving forward. Get to FA and the draft. I am curious what Ravens fans are saying I guess.

Just heard a Broncos fan express relief that Crosby was no longer in the division.
And someone said, “yeah, but he’s in our playoffs now”
Damnit.

...to be fair, it would be more selfish if you wanted a new deal because maxx was traded.chucker wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 6:26 am I've wondered about whether Crosby would be looking for a new deal if traded. I have just enough self hate to tune in for this one. I’m glad it’s over but I would like to know if there’s any truth to the team handling it poorly. Or if it’s just Maxx and his ego not liking being shut down.chucker wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 6:28 am I cannot listen to Hondo at any speed. Where does Maxx Crosby now rank in terms of a Raider draft pick? A 4th round pick who is a top defensive player for 7 years at a high value position and then gets two first rounders back at the end of his Raider tenure? Was there ever a better value? Gruden and Mayock f[raiders_icon]cked a lot up, but definitely nailed that pick. Insert infinite monkey theorem here.

I’ll never understand the hondo hate. We’ve consistently had far more worse beat writers in the last 20 years. He’s the first one that I can tell actually gives a f[raiders_icon]ck about his job.
I look forward to the “deep dive”
