No clue where to post some stuff not necessarily team related but could be? Feel free to delete if this belongs somewhere else.
Maxx and Parsons would be nasty. I probably wouldn’t pay the price though.

They jumped the shark in 2024.RI RAIDER wrote: Wed Mar 04, 2026 10:31 am Hopefully those f[raiders_icon]ckers lose Watson and have to rebuild their secondary. I smell the beginning of the end of the Chiefs. Fat Andy will retire after this year. Andy is the 2nd most important to the team's success after PM.

A little surprised at this one on both sides of the ball.
KC was in tank mode last year as that whack job Reid tore a page out of Shanahan's playbook. Have a down year in an attempt to stockpile draft picks and revamp your roster. Thing is they were bottom of the league in sacks so if they don't get production this year not having a guy like McDuffie can make them more vulnerable on the back end if they can't generate pressure. If that happens now you are really leaning on your offense and Reid will be 68 going into the season. Your mind doesn't work faster as you get older it's just the opposite. And seeing he is morbidly obese at that age doing everything takes longer and is harder to do.
Rams forever in win now mode and giving up a #1 for a sure fire thing instead of an unknown at the bottom of round one I can totally understand. The day 2 picks (168 & 210) while not throw aways are at the bottom of those rounds and it's very likely the 3rd rounder next year will be at the bottom of that round as well. The danger in this is if McDuffie gets injured (Parsons). If I'm the rams I'm throwing the 1st this year and next year at Crosby. What a team they would be defensively with Crosby rushing the passer with what they already have and McDuffie holding up the back end. Might as well totally go for it. In for a penny in for a pound?

They traded a 2nd and 3rd for Von Miller when he was 32 years old. I think with Maxx only being 28 (29 at the beginning of next season) he’s worth the Rams 1st and 3rd this year, and 1st or 2nd next year.16 to 88 wrote: Wed Mar 04, 2026 5:05 pm A little surprised at this one on both sides of the ball.

They were one win away from the Super Bowl. In my opinion the would have curb-stomped the Pats had they made it. With Stafford’s career coming to a close there’s no time like the present for them.
Let’s get it done.

...was it Miller that had the 'pony pack'? ...the eight smaller bottle pack? ....I think that is what I remember.... ...at about 14 years of age, we used to have a (or 'the') grocery store in the small town I grew up in in central NY, and the back loading dock and lot backed up to a steep hill, above that hill was a rough field gradually ascending to some woods, and a small pond, which was actually an old foundation minus the house above it, it the woods where we had built our 'clubhouse'. ...tone of the managers of the store would bag up the beer odds and ends from broken 6 packs, etc., and after we had given him cash earlier inside, he would leave us a bag of the misc. strays in the back on the loading dock. ...odds and ends, mixed brands, and somehow it all worked out. ....the old spin the bottle days....raider_kin wrote: Fri Feb 20, 2026 7:35 pm Miller High Life (in the clear bottle) was the first beer I ever got really drunk on. Oh, so this is what a hangover feels like.
PS yes, death was an option I was considering at the time

Miller stubbies they were called where I’m at. I used to work at a quick stop store and would line my buddies trunk with them out the back door for our weekend parties. Miller stubbies, Rainier and Olympia beer. Threw in a little Mad Dog we had on the shelf for good measure. Chicks didn’t dig us for who we were, but what we had. And we were ok with it.WNYRAIDER wrote: Thu Mar 05, 2026 3:12 am ...was it Miller that had the 'pony pack'? ...the eight smaller bottle pack? ....I think that is what I remember.... ...at about 14 years of age, we used to have a (or 'the') grocery store in the small town I grew up in in central NY, and the back loading dock and lot backed up to a steep hill, above that hill was a rough field gradually ascending to some woods, and a small pond, which was actually an old foundation minus the house above it, it the woods where we had built our 'clubhouse'. ...tone of the managers of the store would bag up the beer odds and ends from broken 6 packs, etc., and after we had given him cash earlier inside, he would leave us a bag of the misc. strays in the back on the loading dock. ...odds and ends, mixed brands, and somehow it all worked out. ....the old spin the bottle days....

...I got an early start, even as a 3 year old, maybe, (guessing by the pics) in an old photo I album, with a Brady bunch like layout of 9 photos, they had me dressed in a I piece with a little Gilligan like hat, and in the upper left, i'm on our front steps, (while my father is out cutting the grass) and i'm eyeing up his only backwash remaining beer bottle on the porch next to me....then, in the middle pic, i've grabbed the bottle, and then in the lower right photo, I have upturned it in guzzle mode.
....in other words, nothing later in life was ever my fault....

Bud had it too. 8-7oz bottles. 6-packs were for the weekends. Pony packs for weekdays.WNYRAIDER wrote: Thu Mar 05, 2026 3:12 am ...was it Miller that had the 'pony pack'? ...the eight smaller bottle pack? ....I think that is what I remember.... ...at about 14 years of age, we used to have a (or 'the') grocery store in the small town I grew up in in central NY, and the back loading dock and lot backed up to a steep hill, above that hill was a rough field gradually ascending to some woods, and a small pond, which was actually an old foundation minus the house above it, it the woods where we had built our 'clubhouse'. ...tone of the managers of the store would bag up the beer odds and ends from broken 6 packs, etc., and after we had given him cash earlier inside, he would leave us a bag of the misc. strays in the back on the loading dock. ...odds and ends, mixed brands, and somehow it all worked out. ....the old spin the bottle days....
