No. Pickens is the anti of what we're trying to do here. He's a lazy, me first, cancer.Raiders Baby wrote: Tue Feb 17, 2026 2:42 pm I brought up Pickens in another thread, and a few voiced character concerns which I think are valid— I’m still on the fence because he was mostly well behaved in Dallas, but boy have we been on the shit end of bad behavior before.
But as I said in the other thread, speaking on him just as a player, I think he could be great in an offense that features him like Kubiak’s would.
Preamble considered, what do you guys think about Maxx for Pickens + 12? Take the best player available at 12, and hope Pickens becomes the best version of himself.
I would still be concerned from an attitude point of view, but he’s the kind of guy who could really make our offense great. I think he’s just scratching the surface of what he can be

Picken's biggest problem is he knows how good he is and, helmet size aside, just watching his actions on the field lead me towards a definite no on acquiring him. Too "showboatish".Raiders Baby wrote: Tue Feb 17, 2026 2:42 pm I brought up Pickens in another thread, and a few voiced character concerns which I think are valid— I’m still on the fence because he was mostly well behaved in Dallas, but boy have we been on the shit end of bad behavior before.

Ya. I can’t lie, this part of it definitely makes me think twice. Again, he seems like he was mostly well behaved in Dallas, although I just googled him after I wrote the other post and it turns out even in Dallas he was disciplined for being late to at least one meeting.BoKnows81 wrote: Tue Feb 17, 2026 2:44 pm No. Pickens is the anti of what we're trying to do here. I wish we could just have the Pickens Bot 2000 that had all of his physical attributes and none of the headaches because that’s exactly the kind of WR that would make noise in KK’s offense

Pickens aside, I wonder if Maxx could fetch 12 + something else from the Cowboys?
Boys and Rams are potential teams to target as partners because they both have multiple 1sts, could be a way to send Maxx to a desirable destination while also ending up with a pick in the top half of the 1st

12 seems a bit more than 11 but less than 13

yes. Dallas is honestly the perfect partner for this trade if they can make it happen. They have 2 1st round picks, and obviously Jerry f[raiders_icon]cked up by ditching the premiere pass rusher and there is no guarantee it will work if they draft one. Jerry could see this as an opportunity to right the wrong.Raiders Baby wrote: Tue Feb 17, 2026 3:50 pm Pickens aside, I wonder if Maxx could fetch 12 + something else from the Cowboys?

Pickens would make frozen feet and showing up at training camp in a hot air balloon look like child’s playRaiders Baby wrote: Tue Feb 17, 2026 3:12 pm Ya. How can getting rid of Maxx Crosby because of his drama and replacing him with Pickens possibly make sense?

Thanks, I thought maybe I'd just lost touch with reality.

I thought I was clear enough, but in case it wasn't, I was advocating for trading Crosby for Dallas' draft capital, not Pickens. He can stay there.

How foolish of us to think such a thing.Fredo Corleone and his possee of fools at rf.com want to believe in fairy tales. They think someone is just going to magically just give the Raiders a new
stadium.- These users gave a High Five to the author Corleone for the post (total 2):
