Guerrro is a scam artist and fraudster. Not saying it has anything to do with this situation but he’s shady as hell and I’ve always wondered why Brady chooses to have this guy so close to him.

NoThanksSir wrote: Wed Feb 11, 2026 12:57 pm Well he's not just a nutrition guy. His position is somewhat unique. He has a hand in strength and conditioning as well. I'm not sure how you reconcile reports calling him the assistant GM with him being nothing more than a dietician. But it seems like you're off base on this one. His role is clearly larger than you think. I also didn't suggest licensed doctors and surgeons aren't part of the process. I said they're offering a diagnosis and the team plans accordingly. Who makes that plan is in question, and how much of a say Guerrero has is unclear.
I don't know what his role is and my curiosity about what he is called is more about context. Who is calling him an asst GM and why are they calling him that if it is a thing. As for the uniqueness of his role? I want to hear something from someone in the know who is not hiding behind a "leaked" perspective to find out what his unique job function is. All I am seeing so far is speculation on that.

As for doctors as decision makers? If a doctor tells a team that they need to shut down a player and they provide the diagnostic documentation to support that determination, that is what happens. If they do not shut him down, they open themselves up to lawsuits. think concussions. If a player gets a concussion these days? Hell, they automatically get shut down. And those rare times when it is under diagnosed or missed all together, the NFLPA goes bat shit. It is a collaboration between doctors and GMs but the doctors do make decisions when it comes to player safety.

This gets funnier
Q mentioned the reports around the building, and like him or not, he doesn't usually blow smoke. And it's not too farfetched to believe if he was hand picked by Brady he is prob doing more than just oiling down the athletes and keeping them nice and hydrated, or whatever the F a dietician and exercise dude does.

On a side note, saw a clip from Maxx's new podcast episode and he seems genuinely disinterested in Kubiak being here.

His official title is Wellness coordinator, which seems to be a unique title/position that no other org has. A simple google can confirm this. When you collect the evidence you need to form a coherent opinion you're welcome to chime in whenever you like.

We're not talking concussions though. Clearly that injury is legislated differently. Are you suggesting that there aren't common football injuries that teams determine is a pain tolerance issue, shoot the player up with a shot of painkiller, and send them back into the game? Some teams will make a judgement call and say it's not worth it if we're not winning and shelve guys...this isn't uncommon? It's clearly an organizational decision and not solely up to a doctor. Have we been following the same sport? You're just arguing for the sake of it lol.

Seems like that’s probably because he’s never playing for him and he knows that.

Yea I respect Q. He's the first guy to pump the breaks on stuff. If folks are disregarding his reporting, they're simply choosing to be ignorant.

The title means very little. 20 years ago, a passing coordinator was not a thing, but teams seemed to be able to pass the ball. Wellness coordinators are actually very common, just under a different name on all teams.

And no, concussion vs soft tissue injuries are not treated differently. When a player blows out an ACL he gets medically shut down. When a player gets concussed, he gets shut down. When a player tears his meniscus depending on the severity he may or may not get shut down. Those determinations are made by medical staff. If he might not have done enough damage, and the doctor says he "could" play with no further damage, that is when a GM can step in. But it is the medical guy who decides that if the tear is bad enough to shut him down, the team shuts him down. That is part of the collective bargaining agreement. Player safety is at an all time high

So consussions and ACL tears are different, and injuries like a knee scope a value proposition that upper management determines. Exactly like I said. You're just purposefully ignoring that Brady's boy might part of that decision. Again, arguing for the sake of it.

You didn't even know his job title but you for sure know he isn't a part of that. Got it
