To be fair its QB and stable employment. We shoot out head coaches like shit through a goose. Bills, Ravens and Steelers offer job stability.RaiderFan1 wrote: Tue Jan 20, 2026 7:26 am Lets put these in order of who has best QB situation and whats most important to a candidate
Buffalo Bills
Baltimore Ravens
Las Vegas Raiders
Cleveland Browns
Pittsburgh Steelers (?)
Arizona Cardinals (?)
If I want a true shot as head coach, the teams mentioned above would be my first choice.

Somewhat true, A good QB and winning brings stable employment. but we do have a new veneer with Spytek/Brady out their leading the charge, commanding the process and interviewing not MD. MD's biggest problem is him hiring the wrong people and them failing. All his firings, but one, have been the right choice. He does tend to let his hires do their job without interference. Thankfully hes not a Jerry Jones that meddles in every aspect. Mark has said many times, and understands his limitations, and that he doesnt have a football mind like his father.... he just needs to hire the right exec/management. Hopefully Brady can take the decision making from MD and get success for the Raiders. I do believe our last hope is Brady/Spytek, if Brady fails then theres no hope for Raiders success until Mark dies. We have HOPE.Rabidraider wrote: Tue Jan 20, 2026 9:40 am To be fair its QB and stable employment. We shoot out head coaches like shit through a goose. Bills, Ravens and Steelers offer job stability.

That Mike McDaniel news is not confirmed. I'd be shocked if he took a OC role over HC role.

Why not? Less responsibility, can focus on what he is really good at, and his leftover options aren't the best when it comes to stability. I don't see the Ravens, Bills, or Steelers wanting him as HC, and I would prob take an OC gig before the Raiders HC.BoKnows81 wrote: Tue Jan 20, 2026 10:26 am That Mike McDaniel news is not confirmed. Heh, nope.
I’ve always liked Flutie. All the dude did was win. And then they bench him in favor of Rob Johnson and we saw what happened. Served them right.

I did as well. A diminutive Rich Gannon, who also faced the same dilemma when competing with "bigger arms" on their roster.Willmark wrote: Tue Jan 20, 2026 11:50 am Heh, nope.

At least Elvis Grbac had some success. Rob Johnson was garbage.

You mean polymarket football might be a questionable source?BoKnows81 wrote: Tue Jan 20, 2026 10:26 am That Mike McDaniel news is not confirmed. I'd be shocked if he took a OC role over HC role.

It would be a little odd to accept an OC position literally a day after having an in-person HC interview unless he didn’t get good vibes out of his interview with Brady.Attyla wrote: Tue Jan 20, 2026 12:33 pm You mean polymarket football might be a questionable source?
