Yep. There will be lots of noise designed to generate clicks but the reality is there's no drama at all regarding the player the Raiders will take 1st overall.chucker wrote: Sun Jan 18, 2026 9:05 am We're drafting Mendoza. Every article, tweet, idiotic post that says otherwise is purely for attention not actual discussion.

Thanx T...sometimes (and this happens to us all) when I post something, I'm not always sure if I articulated my thoughts properly.
And we also know that on a message board, things can sometimes be misconstrued/misinterpreted/mis-implied/mis-inferred.

Yeah, a few weeks back I thought a trade like that would be great but you're right. I wouldn't trade that pick for anything, Raiders are set up very well for success provided they get the coach correct and make some smart additions in free-agency.Corleone wrote: Sun Jan 18, 2026 7:21 am One of the more absurd ideas I've seen lately, these fan blogs are some of the worst you'll ever see. I wouldn't trade Mendoza for Burrow straight up if I'm being honest. One is 7 years younger, and under rookie scale wage which means that under Mendoza we have a chance to really spend and build the roster (think 4 year 55 million vs 4 years 164 million owed to Burrow). At the end of those contracts, Burrow will be 33, while Mendoza will be just 26 years old.
If Mendoza hits, we are so fcking back it's not funny. Depending on how you evaluate Mendoza, and I think a lot of NFL people are probably pretty high on him, you don't trade the pick for anyone. Let alone include Maxx Crosby (who's worth more than a first rounder), and two additional first rounders. Whoever wrote this ridiculous blog deserves to be kicked in the head several times.

FM didn't put up the same impressive stats in this game as he did in the previous two, but he did everything he needed to do to win. Very few mistakes with regard to decision making, and I don't recall him missing a throw. He threw a handful away, but everything else seemed right on target. Some of the incompletions were a result of good defense, and there were some drops, but I don't remember any of them being on FM.

He had the one ball that was a poor decision but had enough zip and quick release so it was only broken up. But other than that I agree. The CB could also do that because he had no protectionsrv5490 wrote: Mon Jan 19, 2026 8:32 pm FM didn't put up the same impressive stats in this game as he did in the previous two, but he did everything he needed to do to win. When a team runs the ball a lot it generally ensures the quarterback doesn't get thrown to the wolves in pass situations. Yet, the way Indiana was calling the game Mendoza got fuckin tee'd off on all night. Very bizarre to see

I dont forsee anyone ever questioning his toughness. He took a beating and just wanted more. That QB draw on 4th and 5 was legendary beast mode style. I have no words.
