It was previously reported that this would be a meniscus trim, which is a quicker recovery than a meniscus repair. If that's what they ultimately did, he'll be g2g in short order - way before OTAs.

If we're being honest, we all know Maxx will be here next season. Barring some wild, off season deal for way more than he's worth, Maxx will suit up in the silver and black next season. Also, Maxx is a drawing card for the next coaching hire.
Maxx, Brock, Ashton, 1st pick (Mendoza obviously), 9 picks after that, great stadium and facilities, 100 million+ in cap space. There are a lot of reasons to want to be the coach in Vegas. I don't think it's as bleak as we tend to make it out to be.
You can throw this back at me after next season, if need be.

Maxx has got to be part of the pitch to a new HC. I agree. I was on fence about him being traded and was good with it if it actually happens but yes for people saying no top tier hc candidate will come here because of the shitshow and lack of talent, trading away the best player on the team certainly won't be helping the matter.
