Moore doesn't see the field as well as Fernando. He is going to be another good Oregon reared NFL QB but Mendoza is the better of the two in my opinion.Arsenal Raider wrote: Tue Jan 06, 2026 9:43 pm People keep saying Moore is more talented, more mobile, and has a higher ceiling... I don't see it it all.
Especially regarding mobility: Mendoza has more rushing yards, and 3x more rushing TDs than Moore does.
Especially in the games last weekend, Mendoza looked levels above Moore in all categories.
I really think people are projecting what they want to see on these guys. Mendoza looks closer to Drake Maye than Goff in play style.
We'll see.

I think Flacco would be a good choice, been around forever, was at the top at one time, no ego involved at his age and should be cheap, can come in and play in a pinch. Take a flyer on a late rd QB and carry 3GoodTimeCharlie wrote: Tue Jan 06, 2026 6:48 pm Man I love Mendoza’s approach to football. I know it’s crazy, and no one knows how far he can go in the league, but he’s a Brady prototype. Brady sure as Hell didn’t come into the league after setting the world on fire. He just wasn’t outworked. Mendoza won’t be outworked.
I think Beck would make an excellent backup if he had a surprising fall into the 5th or 6th.
AOC ain’t it. He was at his “ceiling” before entering the league. Have him be 3rd backup if necessary.
Those making the case for Trubisky as back up, good call. Haven’t even begun to peel that onion. I suppose I like Tru the best. Then Mariota-Taylor, followed by Flacco I guess. He’s basically a coach now at his age.

OUCH !
Todd McShay says Dante Moore’s agents should call the Raiders to see if he can go No. 1. If not, he advises Moore to return to school rather than risk being drafted by the Jets.
“I promise you no single player in this draft wants to be a New York Jet.”

Matt Stafford and Jared Goff I hear thrown around alot as comparisons. Not exactly exciting creators but competent system guys.Arsenal Raider wrote: Tue Jan 06, 2026 9:43 pm People keep saying Moore is more talented, more mobile, and has a higher ceiling... I don't see it at all.

Good tape. bayless is such a piece of shit idiot. All he is trying to do is influence the Raiders to not take Mendoza. Idiot saying Indiana and their coach are such juggernauts of college football what a load of bullshit. Loved it when the guys on the show laughed at bayless and called him out for making that bullshit statement. I've never heard of Indiana as a football school till this year. Mendoza is the #1 pick period.
f[raiders_icon]ck off bayless. can't believe that idiot is still emloyed.

I keep hearing all this talk about Moore’s arm talent & mobility but if that was thing that made you successful then Anthony Richardson would be all pro instead of riding the bench
Football IQ always seems to take a backseat when discussing QB’s strength whereas arm strength tends to be out front & centre
I tend to agree with Joe Montana’s take on arm strength being an overrated trait in the NFL & that the likes of timing, accuracy & being able to read a defence is far more important in the pro’s
Mendoza has all the mental & technical traits you’d want in a franchise QB with the functional
mobility to make plays when need, i can’t see how we would pass on him unless your offering us a Ricky Williams / Herschel Walker-esqe haul which no team is going to do nowadays

That's certainly better than the mock I saw yesterday with us taking Moore (over Mendoza) and proceeding to take 2 CB's in the 2nd and 3rd!!!

Agreed. It’s not like we’re talking about Mendoza having a weak arm or the ball fluttering. He’s got plenty of arm talent that it isn’t even a discussion.CWood24 wrote: Wed Jan 07, 2026 2:25 am I keep hearing all this talk about Moore’s arm talent & mobility but if that was thing that made you successful then Anthony Richardson would be all pro instead of riding the bench

All these mocks having us taking Moore over Mendoza is just trying to be contrarian and I instantly disregard any further selections.
