New coach ………. Again
What’s your thoughts? I prefer young offensive minded with a fresh DC. Kubiak, Cooter, Kafka and pair them with someone like Al Harris as the DC.

This has Patriots West 2.0 vibes. If that’s the case it will be another disaster. Anyone outside the Bellicheck tree for HC.
I hope the Michigan ties are stronger than the NE ties. Minter seems like a good up and coming coach that knows how to get his men ready to play. Daboll or McDaniel for OC if possible. I want to see a coach that is not married to a system, schemes around their roster, adjusts every week and can make changes in game.

Miami never wanted tank, he was just told to not worry about the record. Offensive pieces & about to draft a QB and these morons want to pair him with a guy suing the league.haji81872 wrote: Mon Jan 05, 2026 1:08 pm Mendoza is not a choir boy, good lord, people act like being a Christian is a strike against him. Cignetti has a tough persona. He is relentless, demanding and aggressive as a head coach. Dude it as tough as it gets in his expectations for his players. Mendoza would be fine with Flores. Flores has also mellowed out since Miami and has learned from his mistakes (at least as far as Vikings players think). He was right about Tua. I see that as a plus.
Flores had those Miami teams way overachieving and Miami wanted to tank. I have no problem with him. I would also prefer a DC as head coach, because we need our OC to focus on our offense and new QB.

I'm curious as to why you would think Cignetti would be a good idea ? A 64 year old life time college coach who just recently was given the reigns to a major program, absolutely zero NFL experience no NFL ties or connections. A huge buyout, you would need to pay him a monster contract. Doesn't make any sense to bring that into this unstable organization.BoKnows81 wrote: Mon Jan 05, 2026 3:29 pm I think the first coach that should be on the Raiders radar, whether available or not, is Curt Cignetti. It's at least worth a phone call. Second would be Klint Kubiak, third Mike LaFleur. After that there a bunch of 'Meh' options and lousy retreads.

Now that's something you don't read every day.LayneStaley wrote: Mon Jan 05, 2026 4:12 pm Daboll is notorious for having rancid gas and stinking up offices and elevators, they should pass on him.

Gotta remember there was a "ton of smoke for Harbaugh to the Raiders" too. Only to find out that they never talked at all

Watched Spyteks press conference. I still think hes the right guy for the job. He has watch his words but obvious he was not happy with the use of the rookie class. Also 100% clear he is going qb at 1st overall and geno is gone.

He also had Jim Schwarz and we've been sort of wanting that for a decade it seems.haji81872 wrote: Mon Jan 05, 2026 8:45 pm If we go with an offensive guy, Stefanski paired with Gannon would be great.

Lmao!
All the retreads and garbage coaches that have been talked about in this thread are laughable!
Brady had right idea last year, first time OC Head Coach paired with a legit QB Stafford, Rams got smart and Johnson had no QB..
That tells me they will look for the same type of coach this year with a QB picked at #1
Let’s not forget, Raiders are a dumpster fire, nobody wanted to Coach here but a retread and here came Pete selling Davis on Smith and his kids…

He is almost a miracle worker in my mind to get them in the playoffs as many time as he did.riseNraid09 wrote: Mon Jan 05, 2026 2:47 pm Stefanski would be my choice at this point...
he did well in Cleveland for never having a QB, nor any real offensive weapons.
The Browns are an organization as badly run as us.
