Yes it's impossible to identify sarcasm without a green font.

I thought it was defending Supr Bowl Champs vs College All StarsAttyla wrote: Sat Jan 03, 2026 8:54 am College All Stars vs Pro All Stars
But it was a real game, highly competitive. Discontinued because the pros started pounding the college guys.

Early years- (1930s-40s) play was more competitive. College all stars actually won some gamesRaider_Dave wrote: Sat Jan 03, 2026 3:07 pm I thought it was defending Supr Bowl Champs vs College All Stars
Mid years- (1950s-60s) gap begins to widen. College wins become rare a the mismatch becomes more pronounced.
Later years (1970s)- NFL start blowing out the college all stars. The last game was 1976 when the game was called due to weather with the Steelers up 24-0.
Not saying you, but that that people believe that somehow the gap closed and didn’t widen since 1976?
Now could a college team pull off a 1980 Olympic Hockey team upset in any one game? Sure, anything is possible. It’s a question of how probable.
Not likely is the answer.
It’s important to note that all of the college wins happened prior to 1964. After that the NFL went 13-0 which roughly corresponds to the rise of the NFL in general.

The NFL Champion. I'm pretty sure this was before the Super Bowl. I believe I remember one time the College All-Stars won the game.Raider_Dave wrote: Sat Jan 03, 2026 3:07 pm I thought it was defending Supr Bowl Champs vs College All Stars

I'm unfamilar with this, are you to tell me that College All Stars beat the defending SB Champs 9 times and tied twice in 42 games?

Contact Corleonejust looked up the wiki, so the 75 Steelers, with the Steel Curtain Defense, beat the College All Stars 21-14, a pretty close game it seems, yet some don't think the 2001 Hurricanes (which was basically a college all star team), wouldn't beat one of the worst teams in NFL history?
Interesting.

Details are in the link above. From 64 on the NFL went 13-0. Early on there was much more parity. And it wasn’t until the SB era that the SB champ played )as noted by Attyla.)Corleone wrote: Sat Jan 03, 2026 3:55 pm I'm unfamilar with this, are you to tell me that College All Stars beat the defending SB Champs 9 times and tied twice in 42 games?
Also, you never posted your results of running the 2025 Raiders vs the 2001 Hurricanes.
