Giants at Raiders toilet bowl of the year game thread

Just two more games to go before the season ends.

Depending on how this game goes. This thread could turn into an Airing of Grievances

I remember last year against the Jags, the refs really made a lot of calls in our favor. That may happen again this year, even though I hope it doesn't.

Why would the refs make a lot of calls in our favor? Jesus, it is like you all are shell shocked.

I could see Gyno having the game of his life out of spite because he despises Raider fans!

Yes, he throws a bomb to win on the final play and the fans physically attack him.

All I'm hoping for is competitive and injury free. Time to start thinking about next season.

Im watching this one with a lifelong Giants fan I have known forever. We are wearing each others jersey. I have always found it hard to sit there and root for a loss even when its better for the team.I usually just wont watch. But this year we are so bad we have to lose out

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Ashton Jeanty will play in Week 17 against the Giants.

Jeanty isn’t dealing with any injuries right now. The Raiders are simply tanking so effectively that Schefter felt the need to mention he won’t be getting the day off. Vegas has already shut down Brock Bowers and Maxx Crosby. Both players had been playing through their respective injuries for weeks. The Raiders’ game versus the Giants today will determine the No. 1 overall pick, making Week 17 the perfect time for the team to put the pair of star players on ice. With no injuries of note this year, the Raiders couldn’t find a reason to do the same for Jeanty. Coming off a 188-yard, two-score explosion in Week 16, Jeanty is back in our RB1 good graces versus New York.

Me too. I said in August that this team cannot be good because the offensive line will suck. That proved correct. By October I was already thinking we might have to tank. Gino fooled us with that first game against the Patriots. It turns out that giving up a third round choice for him was a bad football decision. Losing out will take some of the sting out of that.

It’s a strange phenomena. I was really torn on going to this game or not - because like you, I’m truly wanting a Raiders loss. It’s going to be extremely strange being in the stands, in Raiders attire, but hoping they come out of there 2-14.

Do I cheer when the Giants score? Can’t do that. Do I celebrate when Geno throws an interception? Can’t do that either. Not outwardly, at least.

Yeah I'm badly wanting the Raiders to lose but I'm not watching the games actively rooting against them. I'd just sit it out.
