You trust the team to get the most out of Mendoza?BoKnows81 wrote: Tue Dec 23, 2025 3:52 pm My issue with Moore isn't even so much with Moore himself. It's that I don't trust this team to unlock his full potential being that he is more of an upside guy IMO.

I think he's way more ready to play week 1 than Moore is.

If we are out the QB conversation then it has to be OL either Fano or Mauigoa does it for me
Outside of the coaching if you fix the OL then you could draft a Day 2/3 QB (Mateer, Klubnik, Beck) & focus the offence around Jeanty & Bowers
It isn’t the preferred way for me but the is a little hope if we approach this right
QB, RT, & IOL in the first 3 rounds is a must for me, the order depends on where we sit after the season settles

My thoughts exactly. All this discussion on SOS and if we win or lose is hypothetical. We are morbidly bored, and rightfully so. We are so locked into a routine of being out of the playoffs early that we tend to start on the draft for next year and how to secure the highest draft pick possible.RickRyb wrote: Tue Dec 23, 2025 4:15 pm With any luck, we'll all have a better picture in a couple more weeks, once the season ends. My hope is Spytek is the GM and is searching for the next Raiders coach meaning Carroll has moved on. Saleh would be my choice of experienced coaches. Not sure of college and/or coordinators. Someone "young" that can advance improve the team each year starting in year 1. We'll also know The Raiders actual draft spot.
Don’t get me wrong, I hate losing, but now is the time to lose a couple more. I’ll wait and see where we land, hopefully we don’t win anymore meaningless games. I just won’t spend the time to conjure up many different scenarios as to how we get there, we all know what needs to be done.
Even if Pete is directed to tank, he won’t. He just won’t but regardless if he wins the next 2, it shouldn’t save him for coming back next year. On top of that, he is done coaching in this league after 2 more games. At least he should be. It’s time for him to go enjoy the family and for us to bring in new, younger blood.

And shortly after Davis decides that’s the deciding factor to keep Pete and Geno because in his mind, we are now on an upward trend and momentum will surely roll into next season. I think we can, if we get the coach hire right finally. Here is how I look at it. And this is the time to use your connection to Tom Brady.
Tom and Spytek move Carroll into a more advisory position, call it what you want but get him off the field.
Tom and Spytek then interview a Joe Brady type of guy. The pitch is pretty remarkable. We have the first pick so you get the best QB in the draft and you continue to draft high the rest of the way, loading up your line and the pieces we are lacking. And we have like a bazillion in cap space so what we don't get, we buy. We have the best up and coming TE in the business which is perfect for a guy like Mendoza whose game centers around mid level passing. And we have Jeanty. A young QB flourishes when he has those two pieces.
Oh, and where is Doofus while this is happening? He is in the corner playing with his dolls.
But then once the hire is made, Spytek and our new HC make all the decisions. No influence above that. They hire the coaches, the scouting dept comes up with the board and Spytek makes the picks. And we literally overpay for free agents so they come here. And then our new hC runs the show, no influence outside of him.
This is how good organizations operate and this is how we should as well.

Respectfully, I dont want Pete anywhere near an advisory role. I don't want him anywhere near this team in any shape or form. What he did to this team and how he's handled the O line, the mismanagement of playing the young guys, the stubbornness, is unforgivable.Attyla wrote: Wed Dec 24, 2025 6:01 am I think we can, if we get the coach hire right finally. Who do you have at left tackle, Miller? Glaze, or a FA?CWood24 wrote: Wed Dec 24, 2025 2:27 am If we are out the QB conversation then it has to be OL either Fano or Mauigoa does it for me

PS I only ask because you specify Right tackle and I'm not sure we should count on Miller going forward.

With so many things to do i think we have to stick with Miller short termraider_kin wrote: Wed Dec 24, 2025 6:54 am Who do you have at left tackle, Miller? Glaze, or a FA?

Fano projects as a guy who would be better at LT once he has acclimatised to the pros but would initially start at RT like Joe Alt
Mauigoa for me is a RT or even RG at the next level he is a mauler that creates lanes
Either is good for me as both are road graders that move people & open lanes
All this is only if we fail to be in the convo for Mendoza, Moore or even Simpson
I don’t think it is as bad an option as people are making it out to be

There's no reason to move on from Kolton Miller at the moment. Don't count on him as a long term answer, but he's a benefit to whoever is playing beside him at guard for now and keeping him for 2026 allows you to work on the rest of the oline.
Good to see Bowers, Chinn and Meredith to IR. Pretty much anyone who has to be listed as questionable for the Giants game should just get IR'd and we can poach from other practice squads to fill roster spots - it gives us more control over more players in the offseason to have more guys on IR and some young guys added to the roster.
