Around the NFL
No clue where to post some stuff not necessarily team related but could be? Feel free to delete if this belongs somewhere else.
Maxx and Parsons would be nasty. I probably wouldn’t pay the price though.

Agree they were winning ten games with Reid before Kermit got there but he is getting old.Toast wrote: Tue Dec 16, 2025 4:35 am I wouldn't discount the Chiefs even without Mahomes so long as Andy Reid is coaching them. He is the coaching equivalent of John Wick.

I didn't like it and thought it wasn't a wise trade by GB.Cruisin with Tooz wrote: Sun Dec 14, 2025 3:48 pm Looks like the Cowboys just won the Micah Parsons trade.
It felt as if LaFleur's star was fading from last season and this was a way to help prop him up. ACL's take about a year to heal and even if he comes back early who knows if he will be the same Parson's. The team has no 1st in this years draft and the 2nd will be at the bottom. Next year they don't have a 1st either and if they end up with a winning record they will again select towards the bottom in that draft. Not to get lost in all this is the issue of the Parsons mega deal.
Then there is Jordan Love, a middling quarterback at best. Jacobs will be going into his 3rd year in GB at the age of 28 and he was no Barkley to begin with. Far from it. A ton of milage on the tires of an in-between the tackles runner which often results in a 3 yards and a cloud of dust. Questionable play calling by LaFleur in the 3rd quarter, they come out throwing a bomb which was incomplete, get a big run from JJ and a TD.
Defense forces a 3 and out and what does he do? Have Love heave another long one again on first down. This time resulting in an interception and you could feel the tide turn. They should have just try to get another drive going and get first downs but he went for it all with a middling quarterback. Poor decision making. Then there is the matter of there cupcake schedule...

Making it to the playoffs but losing early. Mahomes was the difference in elevating the team to the next level.RaiderandBulldog wrote: Tue Dec 16, 2025 8:19 pm Agree they were winning ten games with Reid before Kermit got there but he is getting old.

As far as his injury? Chiefs fans are in the denial stage right now thinking he’s going to be back Week1 next year and with no thought he might miss the whole season.
ACL and LCL doesn’t care when you start rehab, how good of shape you are in, etc. it’s going to heal when it heals and the average is about 1 year. If we use that as a guideline that means around this time next year assuming no setbacks.
There is always the possibility he is ready by Week 1 next year, but that’s not likely.
Add to all this? Kelce is likely done, they have a fair number of cap problems, no running game and Andy who doesn’t seem to want to flex his offense.
Interesting times ahead for Chiefs fans.

GB needs to win the SB to even make that trade somewhat worth it. Now if they win the SB, it would not even be due to Parson's contribution.16 to 88 wrote: Tue Dec 16, 2025 8:48 pm I didn't like it and thought it wasn't a wise trade by GB.

Miami really shouldn't have extended Tua. He was never more than mid-tier and should not have been paid top tier money.

It's actually the worst as we know with Carr. Paying a mid qb top money doesn't work. You either need a bona fide top 10 guy or to move on and try for one if they want top moneychucker wrote: Wed Dec 17, 2025 9:21 am Miami really shouldn't have extended Tua. This is more of an NFL comment than a Raider comment..... so I'm dropping it in here. Looks like Rapsheet is doing a favor for whoever happens to be White's agent. Literally nobody who watches the Raiders actually believes the sentiment in this post, even if the numbers are likely accurate.
My guess is that it's just a little quid pro quo for getting insider info first from an agent.

I think there's more to his issues than that. I think he's not instinctive or smart. Confusion can look like laziness.

Then the question becomes, did the GM go to McDaniel’s and ask him if he thought that Tua was going to be his guy, and to extend him or not? Gotta believe at least in part McDaniels gave the greenlight on that one…chucker wrote: Wed Dec 17, 2025 9:21 am Miami really shouldn't have extended Tua.
