Agree...no way a great coach like KC has will allow his team to just lie down. He may not play his 1st string on every play but the historic bitterness between the two teams still runs deep and he'll indeed try to win the game.Opoponax50 wrote: Tue Dec 16, 2025 11:50 am What I meant was that we'll lose to KC.
Someone had said something about how bad Minshew is, which I agree with. The implication stated by that poster was that we might beat KC because Minshew sucked/sucks.
However, given that a guy like Sanders was able to beat us, and because Minshew is better than Sanders, and the Chiefs are an organization that has pride enough to want to win every game, we'll lose to them.
I didn't call it a "rivalry" because presently the Raiders are so bad that they really can't be considered a "rival".

He wouldn't be a first Rd pick even then. Not a legit one anywaysmranquales wrote: Tue Dec 16, 2025 2:12 pmBecause he's too small, which is my entire point. If he were 6'5 he'd be a first rounder.
People get mad at me because I keep it consistent.

Draft Mendoza at #1 get the pick no matter what.
Then draft Offensive and defense linemen. by the 4th round hopefully there are still excellent Oline or Dline available if not Raiders need major improvement in defense back 7 LB's and DB's.

Appreciation for one’s consistency is greatly influenced by what one is consistent at.mranquales wrote: Tue Dec 16, 2025 2:12 pmBecause he's too small, which is my entire point. If he were 6'5 he'd be a first rounder.

Anyone like Drew Allar from Penn State?
He ranked like 9th in QBs. 6'5 244lbs and runs.

Was a disappointment after his freshman season, particularly this season. Looks like Tarzan plays like Jane.
But guys still bring up his measurables and that's what he will get drafted on. He did not develop for whatever reasons so you are drafting a guy you hope can develop. Coming up to this draft, I guarantee guys will be pounding the table for him though, guys that didn't watch him play.

Mendoza comes across to me like the type of player that loves football and being a QB so much that he won't allow himself to fail. Regardless of what he might be lacking, he'll make up for it with his mentality. He's going to grind and figure out how to be successful and win.
I'd say he's the type of guy that might even take a pay cut to allow the team to sign more talent to help win Superbowls.
Really hope we can draft this guy.

LOL no QB takes paycuts to help win superbowls, don't believe the myth that Brady took paycuts, more than likely he was compensated under the table much like Elway was back in the day.3rd and Long wrote: Tue Dec 16, 2025 6:38 pm Mendoza comes across to me like the type of player that loves football and being a QB so much that he won't allow himself to fail.
