What the Raiders need.....2026
Next year the Raiders need to hire an up and coming offensive coach who has earned the opportunity to be a head coach. No more retreads or coaches who haven't worked their way up through the coaching farm. They tried hiring Ben Johnson and when that didn't succeed fell back on Pete Carroll. Hopefully we have better luck next year.
Draft a QB that can pair with the coach. No need for a retread QB unless a really great option becomes available (Stafford this year would've been great but was a pipe dream). I wouldn't mind AOC battling out the newly drafted rookie in camp.
Build the offensive line with the 2nd rd pick, through free agency, and a few we still have under contract. This is the most important step and hopefully the new coach can get a stellar O-line coach. IF Miller needs to be traded due to cap and his age I'm ok with that trade. Biggest issue is that the O-line needs to be the off season focus.
The defense also needs some help through free agency.

Didn't Denver take Jeudy the very next pick after The Raiders took Ruggs?

To be fair ruggs was in the beginning of year 2. Receivers rarely look good in year one. Year 2 start seeing what they’re capable of. Generally year three is their breakout year.

Ruggs was starting to flash and you guys are all calling him a bust…I mean with the horrible thing I guess you can say that..but he had that Tyreek Hill gear and would have been a stud..maybe not Ceedee good, but maybe so..no one knows.

Well he was a top 15 pick who was out of the league within 2 years. That's a bust regardless of circumstances. What is it? He would've been a stud or not quite CeeDee Lamb good? My opinion is that he was a bustHesterLayes wrote: Sat Dec 06, 2025 4:57 pm Ruggs was starting to flash and you guys are all calling him a bust…I mean with the horrible thing I guess you can say that..but he had that Tyreek Hill gear and would have been a stud..maybe not Ceedee good, but maybe so..no one knows.

Also a side note that Carr was the QB for those 2 playoff seasons and the team is 14-34 since he was benched, even though some clowns here will keep talking shit on him, he's the only QB to win in this SHIT franchise since Mark took over.

Side note Derek Carr had 7 losing seasons out of 9 playing for the Raiders and 2 more for the Saints, that's 11 losing seasons.FlyBono24 wrote: Sun Dec 07, 2025 1:14 am Also a side note that Carr was the QB for those 2 playoff seasons and the team is 14-34 since he was benched, even though some clowns here will keep talking shit on him, he's the only QB to win in this SHIT franchise since Mark took over.
Derek Carr has lost the most career games by a Raiders quarterback, with 79 losses

Not really fair to judge Carr record; the Raiders defense under Carr most of career was really bad…rcraider wrote: Sun Dec 07, 2025 2:00 am Side note Derek Carr had 7 losing seasons out of 9 playing for the Raiders and 2 more for the Saints, that's 11 losing seasons.

Play the rookies the remainder of the season so you can give them a proper evaluation.

It’s amusing that the President of the Derek Carr fan club still can’t bring himself to admit reality.rcraider wrote: Sun Dec 07, 2025 2:00 am Side note Derek Carr had 7 losing seasons out of 9 playing for the Raiders and 2 more for the Saints, that's 11 losing seasons.

Then again this is the poster who had to make two separate accounts on a Saints Forum to defend Derek Carr. Basically the equivalent of having to climb the water tower to defend his sisters honor with a paint brush.
