Moore isn't coming outOaktownonly wrote: Sun Nov 30, 2025 10:07 am Mendoza, Simpson or Moore. But we have to be top 3 in the draft to guarantee getting one. That's if Moore come out. If not we need to be top 2.

I dont watch college ball.
What would the comps be for Mendoza and Simpson going into the draft ? Draft comps not expected nfl comps

I’d take Simpson over Mendoza. It will be an interesting pre draft process. Hopefully someone else(possibly Mateer) jumps up. It definitely doesn’t feel like a sexy top of draft. WTF happened to Sellers? Dude was a world beater last season, was hoping his passing would evolve this season.

And even if a rook did choose to stay in college instead of going to an NFL team, and even if he had a great senior season, he's still going to a shitty team. It's not like some team with a top 5 QB and 11+ wins is going to get the #1 pick, draft him, and then shitcan their proven starter.RaiderFan1 wrote: Sun Nov 30, 2025 10:19 am Thats what Dumb Money would say.
You would have to make that decision based on the next year's QB draft class and if you're Likely to drop from #1 QB down to 3 or 4 which would be an economic disaster. Plus there's always the chance that your performance declines and you completely lose your big payday From a #1 Pick this draft. Professionals use risk management, the risk is too high unless a shlt QB class next year. Fans on a fan forum arent professionals, they are whats called Dumb Money. Most likely he has a pro to manage risk. Listening to you would be catastrophic![]()
At 22 I wouldn't have needed a financial to tell me that a lifetime of financial security is a good thing even if I was guaranteed to be to lose my starting job in three years. A top 5 QB is going to also get a couple years' opportunity with another team and possibly a few years as a backup after that. That'd be 6-8 years and approximately $50 million?
F*** any punk who won't take that.

Ha, ha..... I've adopted the Lions as my "other" team to pull for. I might have screwed that up too.Sold My Soul wrote: Sat Nov 29, 2025 9:52 pm Raider cluster fcks have made me the man I am. Sadly.
That's why I am today a Rams fan......I wasn't ready to surrender my remaining sanity.

Well I have causally taken an interest in the Seahawks, Bears and Redskins over the years I have just not been able to embrace any other NFL team. For a time NCAA football was my distraction but then the PAC12 imploded. The service academies are still fun to watch.Dr Death wrote: Sun Nov 30, 2025 12:32 pm Ha, ha..... It's really too bad the USFL never adhered to the Dixon Plan. It offered a solid roadmap to parity with the NFL and gave us more football to watch, nevertheless for a brief period of time its product on the field was as good and some ways better than what the NFL was at the time.
Politics notwithstanding Donald Trump did not do the USFL and favors. I enjoy the topic.
