Game day thread: Browns@Raiders
Oh yeah- there’s a game today. I almost forgot. Unfortunately I think we lower our draft picks and win one in a squeaker. Gino will have his best game since game #1. Yes a contrarian feeling. I think we might see a rookie offensive lineman or two play also. What can that hurt at this point? Raider 20 Browns 17.
I am playing golf so will check it out when I get home.

Sanders isn’t good. It’s easy for a quarterback when the opposing team only scores three points. You’re never pressed you never feel rushed. He did have one great throw. So do most qbs.SuperRaider wrote: Tue Nov 25, 2025 2:22 am Definitely would have used a 2nd rounder or 3rd rounder on drafting Sander;
First time Sander played a full game and Raiders do have a fairly decent defense and did ok….

All the Browns need is a solid game-manager and they're a wildcard team.

You maybe right; but look at most of Raiders draft picks anyway; most of the guys that get drafted by Raiders over last few years are not on the team anyway….so in my opinion Sanders would have been a good draft pick to use and see if he really can become an NFL QB….if it work for the raiders and he became a star; then that great; if he bomb out; would not made a difference as most of the raider picks bomb out anywayRaidernation1979 wrote: Tue Nov 25, 2025 9:33 am Sanders isn’t good. Taking a flyer on a player sure. Bringing him and his circus? No thank you. The guy had one great throw. One screen pass behind the line of scrimmage that went for almost 1/3 of his total yardage. With the exception of those 2 plays he was absolute garbageSuperRaider wrote: Tue Nov 25, 2025 1:07 pm You maybe right; but look at most of Raiders draft picks anyway; most of the guys that get drafted by Raiders over last few years are not on the team anyway….so in my opinion Sanders would have been a good draft pick to use and see if he really can become an NFL QB….if it work for the raiders and he became a star; then that great; if he bomb out; would not made a difference as most of the raider picks bomb out anyway

He has played two games, and you called him a franchise QB after his second game. So who has a questionable football IQ? Nobody on the f[raiders_icon]cking planet except for you is calling a guy two games into their career a franchise QB, especially after he shit the bed in his first game and he played 50% ball in his second.mranquales wrote: Tue Nov 25, 2025 10:23 amDon't mind these low football IQ guys. Their hate for Sanders was so deep they thought the Raiders were going to beat the #2 defense in the NFL.

Again, you are playing the game but your deck is definitely shorted

Franchise QB doesn't mean Top 5, genius. It simply means he's the guy for the (Browns). Someone that the (Browns) can trot out there for the next 5-10 years and improve the rest of the roster while pushing for a wildcard berth. Every team has different needs.Attyla wrote: Tue Nov 25, 2025 1:30 pm He has played two games, and you called him a franchise QB after his second game. So who has a questionable football IQ? The Browns have one of the best defenses in the NFL, a defense that can win you the game on their own. They don't need a superstar QB, they need a Jalen Hurts type, which Sanders definitely can be.

You define it how you like, but what we saw was not a franchise QB after two games, period so your definition is f[raiders_icon]cked up. And you talk about guys with low football IQs? Look in a f[raiders_icon]cking mirror junior. You went from the QB to the defense to justify that f[raiders_icon]cked up first game and mediocre second game and still call him a franchise QB. Find one guy who is not a browns fan or Deion Sanders who calls him a franchise QB. No reporter, no coach, no commentator gives that designation to a guy after those two games.mranquales wrote: Tue Nov 25, 2025 1:36 pm Franchise QB doesn't mean Top 5, genius. Sure you can say the defense is going to give him some wins but that does not make him a franchise QB. And yes, franchise QB is a term that is used for top QBs in the league. As in top 10 consistent guys. And that is pretty much the universal view of that term.

Shauder's QB rating is 52, QBR is 4.5 and his advanced metrics are awful. That's a tiny sample size but anointing him anything is hysterical.

I'm starting to think you're doing this on purpose.
Skip Bayless.Find one guy who is not a browns fan or Deion Sanders who calls him a franchise QB. No reporter, no coach, no commentator gives that designation to a guy after those two games.
Mel Kiper.

You don't have to be the top 10 best QB in the entire NFL to be a franchise QB. You're the first person I've ever heard even insinuate that. A franchise QB is simply a mainstay for that franchise.

Show me where Skip Bayless or Kiper said he is a franchise QB after his second game.
Be specific. I want time and date. It would be on their articles. You are referring to their draft comments where they said he had franchise QB potential. NOBODY said that after last Sunday. And Carr was not widely considered "A" franchise QB as a QB ranking
Keep trying skippy.
