It was bad for sure. You want to be the guy? Be the guy when you are up against the best. But other than Baker, who looked good in a loss, he is proving to be as billed.BoKnows81 wrote: Sun Nov 16, 2025 3:31 pm 4 ugly INTs by Darnold. Just bad decisions in a big game. He needs to prove he can maintain elite play late in the season and esp against good teams.

That was my biggest issue with him. He put up numbers last year in Minnesota until it mattered or against a defense with a pulse. He's doing it again this year with 7 turnovers in his last two games. Give me the qb who might not have the flashy numbers but doesn't shit the bed when it counts. Od take a guy like Baker or Hurts 10/10 over a DarnoldBoKnows81 wrote: Sun Nov 16, 2025 3:31 pm 4 ugly INTs by Darnold. Just bad decisions in a big game. I wanted Darnold, while acknowledging the risks. That's no secret. And I'll die on the hill that Darnold over Geno was the better option for multiple reasons. But I'm also a realist and the reality is he was BAD yesterday. All 4 of those INTs were directly on him. Still a lot of season left to play but that was ugly and he needs to play better when it counts.Hellbound wrote: Mon Nov 17, 2025 3:46 am That was my biggest issue with him. I didn't really want either qb but if I absolutely had to pick between the two it would've been Darnold. Never cared for Geno at all (though I tried talking myself into it being a good move) and thought it was a meh at best move. Darnold was the better choice of the two BUT imo, he doesn't have the numbers or wins here that he does in Seattle and we'd still be talking about getting a franchise qbBoKnows81 wrote: Mon Nov 17, 2025 5:03 am I wanted Darnold, while acknowledging the risks. Not going to bash on Sanders, he went in cold due to an injury. This was his first action in a real game. Yes, he crapped the bed and he looked terrible. The intentional grounding play was flat out garbage, and he took sacks he should never have taken. That said, the game is fast and he was way slow at processing.
These are things rookies go through. Manning's first action he was flat out horrible. I am not saying Sanders could ever be Manning but he made rookie mistakes. Did I want him? I was intrigued but the skill set and I still think he can be a viable NFL QB but to be honest, I do not think he prepared to be ready to go into the game. I think he was content to get paid his paycheck and watch the game. Well, Sanders, welcome to the NFL where it could be not for long if you don't start preparing to be a NFL QB.

I agree it’s one game but after the nuclear meltdowns about him going in the 5th in the spring on the web it does raise several questions and they have now gotten louder.
I personally don’t like or dislike him but also didn’t want him as our QB.
The biggest question is the same one I had at the draft, if his last name wasn’t Sanders would this even be a conversation?

Wish we had someone like that...
Maxx almost beat da Bears single handily. If he could play QB probably win by two scores
