We will be sellers. Losing Sunday helped cement that. I think Meyers will be gone. Maxx will be kept. We’ll trade Tyree Wilson to the Chiefs and get a #2 along with a player to be named later.

The max value for any comp pick is a late third. Depending on where the Jags finish, the pick they get from them is the better of the two fourth’s they have, plus a sixth. So, they will get a pick in shouting distance of the max comp pick they’d get, which I don’t think they would’ve gotten. Probably a fifth, but I don’t know how they tabulate this to see which teams get the third round comp picks.rich72 wrote: Tue Nov 04, 2025 5:35 pm What would the comp pick for Myers have been out of curiosity? Im wondering if they gave up some value just to get the negative vibes out of the locker room.

Meyers would not not given us a comp pick becasue we have few quality free agents and a ton of cap room. You only gain comp picks if you lose more value than gaining among fa signings with expiring contracts. Wont happen for us next year.

Quinnen was the 3rd overall pick. Sauce was the 4th overall pick. These were the type of prospects even the jets couldn’t f[raiders_icon]ck up.Attyla wrote: Tue Nov 04, 2025 1:29 pm For those wanting to get picks for Maxx, it appears the rumors that he and the brass mutually agreed he would stay are true. I cannot say I am disappointed. The Jets moves look great on paper but it is what you do after you make the moves and from top to bottom that is a franchise that reminds me of

The irony here is that the only franchise players the jets are likely to get in the next couple drafts… are going to be from their own picks. For a team that isn’t particularly good at drafting outside the top 5… I find it funny their solution is to completely leverage their future on picks (likely) well outside the top 5.
I also find it funny that a team with some really good players but a massive QB problem… that was already trending towards a fairly clear path to a top QB… decided to ransack their roster anyways.
