Of course we need to find our QB but I don't see anyone on the planet looking good with what we have now. A rookie would be ruined before he got a chance. Not sure which QB coming out looks to be that guy. A lot of season left for a QB to move up in the draft though. Either way we have to build the trenches and quit with the good Oline guys are available late in the draft theory we have been going with IMO
Exactly. If there's no potentially good to great QB then build the O-line. Even a mid level QB can succeed to some degree with a good O-line and running game.

Build the O line no matter what. Nothing anchors your O like a dominant group.

Agreed. Football hasn't changed much. Control the line of scrimmage (offens & defense) and win the game more often than not. All one has to do is look at the perennial playoff teams and you'll see they all have dominant to good lines. Nothing else matters until then

I remember a few yrs ago everyone bitching about Jacobs constantly getting hit behind the line and it needs to be fixed. Here we are again and people are seriously arguing that a qb will fix the problem

Here we are again and there are a select few that can't comprehend that you can't win in this league today without great to elite QB play regardless of how good your line is. Aren't the Dallas Cowboys proof of that? A great O line and mediocre QB used to be able to get you by. Not now. If i had to choose, give me the great QB and mediocre O line 10 out of 10 times. Sure, a bad O line is a recipe for disaster but a great to elite QB can make the O line look so much better and will always give you a chance. It's the most important position in all of sports and really shouldn't be that hard to grasp. If we had a dominant O line, Geno Smith would still be garbage. Case in point.

How did that mediocre at best oline work out for Mahomes in the SB last year? How'd that poor oline workout for Burrow this year? That elite qb has had the same amount of season ending injuries as he does playoff appearances. That's fine that you have your opinion. That's all it is though. Just as I have mine. I also have history on my side though. Will you get a fluke season out of an elite qb behind a poor oline? Sure. Is it sustainable success? Absolutely not. You said it yourself, it's a recipe for disaster

Give me the good to great oline and it won't matter who's at qb and/or what type of game plan you have

You can have the qb behind a sketchy oline

Again we both have different opinions and that's fine but no need to try and force your opinion off as a fact like you always do

You should think before you blame me for forcing my opinion since the way you came off with your "here we go again......" Is that not coming off like people that disagree with you are wrong? Little hypocritical don't you think?

Regarding the Chiefs, I'll tell you right now that if the Eagles did not have great play from Jalen Hurts, the Eagles wouldnt of looked that good. Yes their D balled out and the Chiefs didnt get even good play from Mahomes. The Chiefs completely shut down Saquon Barkley and the Eagles couldn't run block for shit. With Burrow, he's pretty much always had a bad O line. So aside from his injuries along with a terrible defense (which to me is their bigger concern) and personnel decisions, he still always gave that team a chance and always will.

Funny way of saying the KC oline sucked and Mahomes being an elite qb couldn't mask their problems being sacked 6 times, hitting him 11 and forcing 3 turnovers from him. Weird that the team with better line play (both sides) actually dominated and won that game

Funny you say Burrow is fine aside from his injuries. How does he accumulate those injuries? From getting beat up by his subpar oline. He doesn't give his team any chance at all when he's watching his team from the sidelines. That teams defense has nothing to do with his or his oline play so not sure why that was even brought up

Btw....me saying here are again is a fact. Not an opinion. People were complaining about the oline & Jacobs getting hit behind it. People are complaining about the oline & Jeanty getting hit behind it

Not sure where to put this so I'll just put it here. Got this from my son. Was a notification he got on his phone.

Edit: After looking at it I think it's just suggesting and not anything with teeth.

100%. I’d also add the sustainability factor. It’s hard to keep great rosters together in the salary cap era. There’s always going to be roster churn and inevitably… that’ll come with points where it’s not great. A great QB is what keeps you relevant long term.

IMO with the o-line… being bad hurts more than being great helps. Get a great QB and just make sure he’s not running for his life all the time and you’ll be just fine.

In my feed which constantly pushes BS Raiders stories I got an interesting one today. No sources, just a dude pulling crap out of his ass.

However, it was about the Raiders trading for Anthony Richardson, which I dont see remotely as a possible.

However, got me to thinking. In a world where the money doesnt matter would you trade Geno for AR and let AR be our QB for the remainder of the season?

Geno has upside at least, it will be nice if he can turn it around and show us something in the 2nd half. Hes still salvageable but he must play well from here on out to keep him for next season. Im almost wondering if he isnt fitting in with the rest of the offense players personality wise, maybe he rubs other players the wrong way and their focus is off.

At least with a great line you can hand the ball off and move the ball. That is why we need to spend some high drafts picks and spend some money on FA to build a great line. Crappy line with a great QB you are still not going to be able to move the ball.
