I’m done
I have been a follower of this team since the 1960s. Watched some amazing teams. Those Monday nights where we were unbeatable. Amazing teams, and amazing wins.
We haven’t done shit for over 20 years. This is the biggest joke in the f[raiders_icon]cking league. I lived in Boston for 18 years through the Patriots being basically Super Bowl contenders every year and everyone asked me why don’t just change teams I said some Raiders fan we don’t change teams.
Well, I’m not changing teams, but I see no point in watching this shit anymore, does this ruin the day for you already? The text are coming in from my friends same thing every week every month every year
All I can say is, I’m glad the NHL is back
Good luck gentlemen maybe I’ll come back after that shithead piece of crap that owns the team sells it but until then I’m done with this f[raiders_icon]cking team. I wasted too much of my f[raiders_icon]cking life worrying about these f[raiders_icon]cking crap players. Bullshit coaches bullshit moves.
f[raiders_icon]ck them and f[raiders_icon]ck Mark Davis
You don’t have to bother to reply you can delete this really don’t care logging out now. Maybe I’ll be back in a few years after the team is sold.

The question is: how long a period of time should one have patience? Is 30 years not a long enough period of time?Atlasffa wrote: Tue Oct 07, 2025 12:11 pm Patience you must have, young Raiders. Have patience and all will come to fruition.![]()

As you can see by the current W-L standings, there are some surprise teams struggling and some unlikely teams winning. It's wide open for any team that catches fire.

Yea................... I'm not holding my breath for catching fire any time soon.Atlasffa wrote: Tue Oct 07, 2025 4:35 pm Apparently notThere are 4 teams that have never reached the Super Bowl and an additional 8 that have reached but not won, so 59 years. Raiders haven't been waiting as long as some others.

Guys got me thinking how my sport’s year goes. Football is essentially the Sun, and other sports the planets. I’m aware via podcasts when it comes to other sports, but you know how that goes. Turn on a podcast, and keep goin’ about your business. Nothing receives actual stop-accomplishing-shit and give-eyeball-time except football. I don’t “watch” news. No “SportsCenter” or any other talking-head sport show. I just read and listen.
Offseason I’m up on Raider news and transactions. I come here. I Google “Raiders”. I mock draft. I YouTube highlight reels. It’s generally a nice time in this old marriage with football.
Then we ramp up. As a Raider fan, probably a whole new regime to study and discuss. Free agency and the draft, then sweet sweet preseason. It’s a glorious time of sunshine for myself and my team and football. I eat it up. Fill my gullet. Might even get a smidge of excitement that there’s something brewin’ in Raider Nation.
Then the regular season, (which I’m realizing has become my least favorite part of football). I don’t really watch other football games outside of the Raiders. Can’t spare the time. I watch Raider football and YouTube game highlights for the rest of the league. Watching the Raiders lasts until they make life worse. Once they’ve reached the “Okay, f[raiders_icon]ck off. I’m not wasting my life on this sorry sack of shit”, I’m out. And that goes for the whole league until the playoffs allow me to enjoy good football without the septic-fueled cloud of “Raiders” hanging over me.
It came fast this year boy. I’ve seen the first 2 games, most of the 3rd, all of the 4th, with that blocked kick against Chicago sealing the season. Maybe a podcast or the forum will bring me back, but no more eyeball time. I stop Raider football for the same reasons I don’t party like I’m in my 20’s or eat like I’m in my 30’s. Shits bad for you. Life’s too short and far too worth livin’. Happily and healthfully.
Looking forward to the playoffs, and hey, maybe next year. Hahahhahahhaha…”next year”. Shit cracks me up.

LOL. Just reminding guys that some teams have it worse--not that that makes you feel better.pfish57 wrote: Tue Oct 07, 2025 5:03 pm Is this suppose to give Raider fan hope...that's some fantasy island type shit lol
Super Bowl was the fantasy and not the goal this year. Getting back to a well-run operation would be a big step forward, regardless of record.

I remember the Raider's and Steelers rivalry well.Willmark wrote: Tue Oct 07, 2025 6:49 am I also think some of this is a function of getting older coupled with the decades long ineptitude of the Raiders.
When I was younger I would have NEVER wanted another team to do anything other than my team,
Not my wife’s team etc.
As I’ve aged and the Raiders have given us next to nothing to cheer for in the better part of four decades? I can now at least acknowledge other teams that are not AFC west and at least watch them without outright distain.
Take even the Steelers. I’m a tad too young for the rivalry but even the old timers have to admit. The my are the model of consistency and how you wanna team to be run. They have had 3 head coaches since 1969. We’ve had 3 in the last 3 years alone.
Point to all this is football is supposed to be entertaining. The Raiders have been the exact opposite. For the first time since I can’t remember when, this Sunday? I don’t know if I can justify watching them. Aside from travel or being on vacation or some such? I think I’ve watched almost every game except for a few here and there for decades. I suspect I’m similar to a lot of fans.
But I’m now at the point of why? Never thought that would happen but I’m opening questioning. I want to watch football, not whatever the Raiders engage in on Sundays.

There was a time when fans thought they were pretty loyal to have stuck it out though the Marc Wilson years

Prior to the internet craze, you had no idea what fans thought unless you were in an area with a heavy population of fans of that team, and even then you did not have "organized" events to talk about the teams. Work spaces sometimes you would have quick discussions but unless you were hanging out at sports bars, most your info came from the paper or the five minute spot on the news. I think my most heavy saturation of sports talk was my college years. Then the internet came into being and everything changed.Raidermofojeff wrote: Wed Oct 08, 2025 4:30 am There was a time when fans thought they were pretty loyal to have stuck it out though the Marc Wilson years
As for my "patience" post, I guess I have seen too much bad football and now I expect bad football. Well, this team is living up to my expectations.

That’s funny. I saw the same thing except instead of Raider tickets it was SF Giants tickets lol
