No clue where to post some stuff not necessarily team related but could be? Feel free to delete if this belongs somewhere else.

Maxx and Parsons would be nasty. I probably wouldn’t pay the price though.

Parsons is young. He didn't need to make us a contender right now. Lot different than Trey. But doesn't matter now. Jerry went ahead and traded him within the conference. Smh

2 1st rounders by the Packers is a hella lot different from say 2 1st rounders by the Raiders.

Pack helped themselves greatly. Ol Jerra will just blow the picks anyways.

Wow. I didn't think he would trade him. LOL Jerry must be big mad at Parsons.

Gaslighting is a personal interpretation of another's behavior towards you, in other words, it's not strictly objective; it relies on one's interpretation of another's motives.
You're referring to how a psychologist or a psychiatrist would use that term to describe the actions of a narcissist. Over the years the term, "gaslighting", has been expropriated by common culture; its meaning broadened and reapplied to non-mental health contexts. Im sure you've seen it many times used in political contexts, for example. It is in that sense that I am using the word. But my snark meter has told me that you were already aware of that. But if you insist on being a purist, then just substitute propagandizing for gaslighting.

Yep. I just don't get it from the Cowboys perspective. It's not like they need those picks for a QB. I mean did the relationship really deteriorate that bad? I thought we were dysfunctional but I don't know how anyone can be a fan of the Cowboys as of late.

The all-knowing Grok is familiar with gaslighting:

The word "gaslighting" originates from Patrick Hamilton's 1938 play Gas Light, which was later adapted into a 1944 film starring Ingrid Bergman. The story features a husband who manipulates his wife into believing she is going insane by secretly dimming their gaslights and then denying that the lights are changing, forcing her to question her own perception of reality.

"Gaslight" is an excellent movie. Since it's the source of the term, you get the idea of what is meant by "gaslighting." Publishing lies and implying or stating lies are truth is gaslighting. Lots of that going around on the internet.

I agree with you here, the term is overused and misapplied, often used by people to redirect responsibility for their emotions/ feelings away from oneself and towards another (100% guilty on the snarkiness- there’s at least a hint in almost every post. Almost always meant in good humor!).Cheers!

Those two 1st rounders from Green By are most likely late 20s picks.

Jerry was trying to get Parsons to sign a deal without the agent's involvement. Parsons refused and the standoff began. It's kinda (well, maybe very) slimy of Jerry to negotiate directly with Parsons. Some dirty laundry was starting to come out so it looks like Jerry capitulated. And you are right--how does this team continue to be called America's team when they are nothing but a PR machine.

Excellent point. Any AFC West team not us would probably win the division.
