It’s making even more sense now bc you can’t convince me meyers is a better receiver.
Replacing a tough guy with Cooper seems like a bad move.

If actually catching the football is a trait you value out of a WR, then Meyers is far better.

Meyers is better than Cooper and has been a great value on his last contract. But if he wants close to 30 million, he is jist not worth that. He is a #2 receiver and we draft a guy who has a similar skill set.

The trade request is just standard negotiation tactic so not overly worried. However it’s clear there’s a divide between what Meyers wants and what the Raiders intent to pay. I really do think the braintrust wants to see how Bech fares when he gets on the field prior to meeting Meyer’s demands. I like Meyers but him walking in free agency in the offseason isn’t the same as losing a top 10 or even top 30 WR.

Yea well it’s been said that 45% of the passes sent his way have been off target. I’m sure the truth lies somewhere in the middle

Sign him to a 3 year deal at 17.5M per

Not out of the question. He's a value if the Raiders are as the HC said.....indeed in a win now mode.

Dude has had drek throwing him the ball.

SMH at this organization.

^^^This. Tell him we will trade you at the end of the season, before the draft. That should light a fire under his ass to play as well as he can if he wants big $$$ deal.

Without knowing what he wants it’s tough to say what I think the team should do. Jakobi is seemingly a great team mate and works his ass off. He also has excellent hands. It’s a guy I’d like to keep around.

Actually, it tells me that the coaches think enough of Dante Thorton to make him the X, Trey Tucker the Y, and Bech the flanker. Plus, we got Bowers who is a hybrid receiver and will get most of the targets anyways. Should still get quality production from this lineup and it's cost effective.

I have nothing against Jakobi but he is the odd man out here and he wants to get paid..and rightfully so. Trade him to a WR needy team that can use a veteran possession receiver.

We need

CB help
Safety help
Backup OT, DT
Backup QB

Jakobi has good value- should be able to get something for him whether it be a top 4 pick and player or, if we want to get aggressive with guy like Hendrickson or other high value player (and position of need) and package him with picks.

Jeanty
Bowers
Thornton

I think that’s where the action will be on offense. If we can get D help or more line help for Jakobi do it.

He played pretty well for Cleveland. I don't dislike him.... just not interested in signing him. He wanted out of here too. Plus, he's what.... 32? Nah.

That's not very far fetched. He did follow McDaniels to Vegas
