No clue where to post some stuff not necessarily team related but could be? Feel free to delete if this belongs somewhere else.
Maxx and Parsons would be nasty. I probably wouldn’t pay the price though.

You're living in la la land if you actually believe that.NoThanksSir wrote: Wed Aug 06, 2025 4:52 pm The O'Connell obsession is weird to me. Both his fans and the haters. Dude is a very good backup. I'm glad he's a Raider.
I'm seriously curious as to what some Raiders fans are watching. What on God's Green Earth would make one say that O'Connell is a "very good backup" and that they are "thankful" he's a Raider? Now that sounds like obsession.

He is serviceable, he fails in several areas, his lack of urgency is high on the list. His pocket awareness is horrible. He can be accurate but his deep ball floats often. Where O'Connell really does not measure up is nobody is ever going to think he is going to own the field. He is not that guy. But while he can run, you time him with a calendar and not a stop watch.

Do you always have to exaggerate so much? How is anyone supposed to take you seriously when half your posts are outlandish? There are far worse 2nd string QB's in the NFL. If the Raiders cut him, he would be snapped up quickly to be 2nd string on another team.BoKnows81 wrote: Fri Aug 08, 2025 5:50 am He's a 3rd stringer AT BEST. Give me some more Cam Miller please

I don't give a shit if anyone takes me seriously or not since I'm usually right. Anyway, what's so outlandish about saying AO12 is a 3rd stringer? Look around. There are many others saying the same thing. Not my fault you have blinders on.heavyD wrote: Fri Aug 08, 2025 7:42 am Do you always have to exaggerate so much? I know, right?! Thank god for some Raiders fans that don’t overreact and throw in the towel one quarter into the first preseason game. It’s not blind loyalty, it’s the difference between emotional control and hysteriaSold My Soul wrote: Thu Aug 07, 2025 6:34 pm We're all emotionally tethered to this team in some way. Just like when a HC get's hired and tries to turn the Raiders into pats west and some are good with that right?
Thank god for some Raider fans that question the process instead of blind loyalty.

Really? We've seen this before...idk, like the last 20+ years. Forgive us for being logical based on history.Trainnvain wrote: Fri Aug 08, 2025 8:12 am I know, right?! The only reason I wouldn't consider him 3rd string was after looking at that list a week or so ago about best 2nd stringers. Jimmy G was ranked second, Garner a few down from there, AOC a few more down from there and a whole bunch of "this league has a QB problem".BoKnows81 wrote: Fri Aug 08, 2025 8:03 am I don't give a shit if anyone takes me seriously or not since I'm usually right. To the audience: Remember AOC's first preseason? He looked very very good, easily as good as Cam last night. I still assume he's pretty decent but he needs a really good OL which we haven't given him other than his first preseason. I still think most QB's need a really good line to, he needs it a little more because his mobility is lacking. I don't know why teams beat around this f[raiders_icon]cking bush so much with poor ol's. It's an obvious way to be successful imo, they allow all those nicely drawn plays to have a chance to work. Philly's everyone's favorite and I wonder why? Dominant OL/DL.

Oh I completely agree and that's why I said I'm no AO12 fan but I'd still take him over Minshew, Jimmy G or Mariota. But IMO that says more about those 3 and how bad they are as opposed to AO12.SkullCrusher wrote: Fri Aug 08, 2025 8:34 am The only reason I wouldn't consider him 3rd string was after looking at that list a week or so ago about best 2nd stringers. That's why he's not a 3rd string vs the field, because QB depth league wise stinks to high-heaven.BoKnows81 wrote: Fri Aug 08, 2025 8:37 am Oh I completely agree and that's why I said I'm no AO12 fan but I'd still take him over Minshew, Jimmy G or Mariota. O'Connell is a backup. Whether he is QB2 or QB3 could be debated but he is QB2 on this team and he would be on as many as 12 or so teams in the league. He is serviceable in a pinch but I do not want him starting and I do not want him in games with the game on the line. He has his moments and his mechanics are decent, he just does not have a killer instinct, is slow to the line and has no pocket awareness. His deep ball can be bad, and those picks were horrible. But debating where he falls in the QB order is kind of stupid since he is a QB2 on this team and is likely going to be this season, thus he is not a third stringer, he is a second stringer.SkullCrusher wrote: Fri Aug 08, 2025 8:46 am That's why he's not a 3rd string vs the field, because QB depth league wise stinks to high-heaven.

On a specific team he could possibly be 3rd team vs the league he's 2nd team talent currently.Attyla wrote: Fri Aug 08, 2025 8:52 am O'Connell is a backup. I find that most people who insist they are "right" are often fairly correct that they are right. I also find that they are the most insecure people in life. If you are right, there is no need to tell people you are right all the time. Let your words do the talking for you. But when you insist you are right when the opinion stated is subjective? That is when being "right" is an opinion and is highly debatable and that is when the insecurity really comes out. The more your opinion is challenged, the more heated they become and will remind everyone again and again how they are "right" more often than not. They just refuse to understand what "subjective" means.

He is a number 2 on this team. That ends the debate that he is a number 3SkullCrusher wrote: Fri Aug 08, 2025 9:15 am On a specific team he could possibly be 3rd team vs the league he's 2nd team talent currently.
