I really don’t want to go back to Patriots West 2.0 with Brady and Vrabel running the show. Is there a young coordinator or college HC of interest? Anything but this BS patriot way.
I don't know about coaches from the college ranks but, a name to throw out there that's been on my radar and doesn't get spoken about much is Liam Coen. Tampa Bay's offense has been fire.
You're more than likely correct. I just see Vrabel as a similar style coach who will be preaching philosophies that already failed here. If that's the case, I'd rather keep the guy the team has already bought into and try to prop him up with what's necessary to be successful.

With that said, if we move on from AP, I'm not losing any sleep over it.
My problem with AP is they brought in an army of ex HCs to help him and prop him up yet he seems to have regressed at every level. I'm not even sure if his head set is connected. I get weekend at Bernies vibes from him. I think the team has not improved nor has he at any level. We beat a few bad teams 3rd stringers is the highlight of the season.
I'm not sure I buy onto the " team hasn't quit" theory. Most of the guys balling out are hoping to extend their careers like Abdullah. He is hoping g to hang on to his career another year or two and would be busting his ass no matter who the coach is. Same with the young guys. They need to prove themselves no matter who the coach is next season. The better players have "Injuries"

You’re damn right he would. I would take him if he’s not allowed in the draft room. But that’s because it means it’s not AP and sombody can run an offense

"Keep an eye on Jon Gruden," said Pelissero. "We have not seen Gruden on a full-time basis in the NFL since back in 2021 when he resigned after offensive emails were leaked to the media that he had sent while working as an analyst at ESPN. However, he has remained engaged. We saw him on the sideline with the Bucs owners earlier this fall. We saw him working with the Saints back in training camp last year..." Pelissero also later said that a handful of teams are looking into the current Barstool Sports content creator. "It's not to say for sure that Jon Gruden will be back," Pelissero said. "But there are multiple teams that have been doing extensive homework on Jon Gruden. The situation, him as a coach, him as a person. I would not be surprised at all if in the coming weeks you see Jon Gruden's name popping up interviewing for a head coaching job."

I know I'm in the minority around here about Gru, but I'll never stop wondering what the Raiders would be like if not for AD trading him for a pot of fools gold, and then spawn kicking him to the curb last go round because he was taking heat from the dictator.

I would love to see him on a sideline coaching again whether it be here or somewhere else. He deserves it. Will he? I think he will most likely, as an offensive coordinator somewhere.

What is it with some of you guys wanting these retread coaches? We need to start FRESH. No Gruden. No Vrabel. No awful Ron Rivera.

I'm worried they will trot Marvin Lewis out there and I don't believe for a second AP or Gruden are even a thought.

Vrabel feels like a JDR hire to me and thanks but no thanks to Ron Rivera. There's also the possibility that come black Monday that somebody is on the list? Again, I would give Johnson the keys to the building and however much money he wanted. Beat whatever offer is out there waiting for him.

He's just as clueless.

I think most want a offensive minded coach because that side of the ball is our achilles heel. It seems like Patrick Graham may bolt after this year. Would his departure force TT to look at the best coach possible regardless of their background. Vrabel is a good coach and I think he will be a serious candidate (I hope not). If we look at a defensive minded coach, I am all in with Flores. I still want Coen, Sarkisian, or Kiffin in that order (sorry but Johnson is total pipe). I think Flores would be a good and typical Raider hire (having sued the league).

I've just come to accept that AP will be here next year. That being probable.... fix the coaching staff! Get some real football minds on both sides of the ball to help AP out. This franchise makes the simplest shit seem so hard.

If Brady is going to have more say, AP will not be here.

He's a good, not great hc imo. His downfall is he needs/wants full control. He's proven incapable of making even average personnel decisions. If he'd check his ego and let someone else call the shots, and just coach it'd work out way better for him and his employer. Unfortunately I don't think he’ll ever let that happen
Him pissing away 5 first round picks in two years is a firable enough offense. Any other gm that would do that would be out of a job

He bombed in Miami and more importantly, everyone bitches about the Patriot way conveniently ignores the tree he's from

Just because you're offering him the keys to the kingdom doesn't mean he's interested
