What’s Frank Smith doing these days? Wasn’t he a hot topic during last year’s coaching carousel?
We have to stop changing HC's every year. One more time, tho?
How about: find a shit hot OC, let him work in 2025, them promote him to HC for 2026.
That's kind of a dick move to AP. No one wants to play for a lame duck coach if that is their plan.

Just for kicks, I looked up what Eric Bieniemy is doing these days.
He was just fired after one year as UCLA's Offensive Coordinator, during which he skillfully ran the Bruins' 126th-ranked scoring offense.

The QB situation is going to hinder the Raiders ability to hire a top candidate. Hopefully Brady can convince Vrabel that he will be given a longer leash to take the job with AOC as the interim starter. That said I wouldn’t be opposed to another year of AP to complete the tank as having one of the worst coaches in the NFL will certainly help that cause.

Unless they have a plan to get a good QB that is firmly able to be executed, no OC worth his stuff is coming to the Raiders knowing our dipshit owner hires and fires coaches nonstop. Pierce for another year? Hell no, but firing Pierce to get another Pierce makes as little sense as well.

Being in TN what was the pulse of the local fan base about him?

His QB decisions in particular did not set well with the fanbase and his puzzling trades left the cupboard bare at several important positions. He was perceived as an X/O guy who ran the most vanilla of offenses and his defenses while decent to good at times left the fans puzzled. If you are going to run a ground game offense, your defense needs to keep the scores down and he really failed at it. I do not think there were many who were disappointed in his release.
I don't like how he builds teams, they are not sustainable simply due to the shelf life of a RB and he needs great RBs to run his offense of choice.

From your description, it sounds like an independent OC with a strong GM like Telesco might address his weaknesses.
