Props to #4 for another clutch 4th quarter comeback particularly on that 4th and 10 clutch throw to Hollins with the Game on the line!!! Then the perfect throw to Cole Sr to tie it. He has this forum spoiled with all his come backs!
Poor attempt at trolling

Carr was like the movies title “The Good, The, Bad and the Ugly.”
Good - 3 TD passes
Bad- Pick 6
Ugly- his play for almost all of the 2nd half which is a common theme for 2022.
The fact that we needed a miracle finish that has happened only 3 times since 1960 (with the Holly Roller now being illegal and one of them) doesn’t fill me with much confidence.
Sure, it’s great we won, no style points for a win and all that. But at the same time let’s call it what it is: a once and a lifetime event like the Colts collapse this weekend.

Duggar made a great play on a terrible play call by McBum going conservative and playing scared with the lead like he always does. With a 14 point lead McBum should have been throwing down the field and playing aggressive. He almost blew his 5th 14 point lead of the season.! Carr bailed him out!

What I just stated involving stats was fact, not opinion. Your response reflects your undying denial. And I guess having the 7th ranked defense in week 14 is passing from greatness these days.

They having a superior HC made halftime adjustments and shut our Offense down. We have an HC that doesn’t know how to Win and plays scared with the lead. Carr bailed him out with some clutch throws with the game on the line. McBum had no choice but to play aggressively

It may not be next season but I can’t wait until Carr is off this team. He’s just not good. He’s about the worst on the run. I watch the other qbs roll out and hit a strike on the run. Carr rolls out and throws it away.
This Pats game I think was the end of the rope for me with Carr. Honestly i can’t even say he’s ”at least average” anymore.
Beyond the god awful pocket awareness where he’ll throw it into the stands with no pressure one play… and then not move for 5 seconds and take a sack the next….
Beyond the obliviousness to the game situation where he’ll throw bombs on 3rd and short… or take 3 shots in a row on a game tying drive and put us in 4th and 10.
Beyond the accuracy that has suddenly fallen off a cliff… or the bipolar usage of Adams where he won’t throw to anyone else for a while and then refuses to look his way for a while…
There’s just no heart to be found with him anymore. There’s no effort to even try to make a play. There’s just a guy totally content to throw it out of bounds every time he has to scramble.
At least for me - I’m at the point where I don’t think there’s much to lose. The “technical ability” that’s kind of been how you rationalize sticking with him isn’t there anymore and whatever amount of it that is there… I think could be more than compensated for with a guy that plays with some heart.
This was a real deep reach here
I will admit I was frustrated with Carr too, but we had a ton of offensive penalties that kept killing drives plus countless drops.
The line, particularly Andre James, did him no favors yesterday.
He finally put it together on the last drive and the defense cleaned it up
Hope to see improvement xmas eve.

And top 3 in points allowed per drive.
And for how bad their offense was, pretty impressive for their defense. No?
Not saying Carr was great. But some games we also have to take into account the opponent. We played a top 3-4 defense , with 2 Guards who haven’t played a regular season football game since 2021.
A lot of bone headed penalties killed a lot of the drives. And we still put up 24 on them offensively.
I’m not sure where I stand with Carr these days. But I just trust McDaniels to make the decision.
He took mac jones to the pro bowl. And Mac jones looks terrivke this year. Also had success with jimmy g, Matt cassel.
I’ll trust JMD’s decision on qb for next year. I’d be open to restructuring his contract and bringing him back if JMD thinks he can win with carr at qb.
We don’t seem that far away. And JMD has had success with enough qb’s that we just gotta see where he goes with it imo.

As for our HC, he won with a player that had no business whatsoever playing QB in the NFL in Tim Tebow. on the other hand, Derek Carr is a losing QB over 9 years as a starter, so how is this on McDaniels?

I was told that the Pats defense was GREAT as a defense for the Carr lead offense having gone 6 consecutive 2nd half possessions with the net result of scoring 6 points for the other team. The Pats defense aren't the '85 Bears or the '00 Ravens.
