Jackson was brought in, got open a lot and did not get balls fed to him, a couple would have gone to the house
Jackson also got open, got thrown balls and dropped them or ran the wrong route, too.

*This does not indicate a confirmation that he gets resigned this upcoming season. although I do think he could get like 2 years $60M
you made my point for me. Carr and a handful of guys in the MW were legit pro level players and excelled. Carr got killed when he went up against USC though which was next level. Like I said, Carr having legendary numbers in college is more the product of the competition. At the pro level, his TD rate has dropped and his red zone has dropped.
The Raiders were top ten in red zone offense every year from 2014 to 2017 except for 2016, when they were 13th. Once Gruden came in they dropped to 22nd in 2018 and never went higher than that. Gruden was a big part of the red zone problems

Carr has never been great in the redzone. Gruden was terrible though - no complaints there.

And I can see him running a wrong route or two since he came in middle of the year.

Some y’all out here still trying to convince folk that Carr is anything more than average. Couple pages of college stats. Hahahaha. Why not High School? Pee wee League? Why not some pics of a report card with an “A” on it. Let’s all celebrate when Carr went potty all by himself.
The struggle is real y’all.
Funny what happens when WR1, and your deep threat speedster suddenly leaves the team and doesn't get replaced.....
His deep ball accuracy really fell off in the second half of the season. I've wondered if maybe he was playing hurt, like a shoulder injury or something.
One thing I think every agrees on is that Carr has a canon for an arm, but the trajectory of his deep throws turned into inaccurate balloon balls, which is nothing like his prior form. But before that, I don't know why anyone would question his ability to throw the long-ball.

I don't like Carr as the Raiders QB, I have seen 8 years of play and I am not impressed. After the niners game in 2018, I said enough is enough. Yet, he's still here and will most likely stay here this season.
What people who support Carr fail to realize is that they blame everyone for Carr's failures, except himself. Yes, I understand that Carr hasn't had the best supporting cast.
But his supporting cast is not responsible for him not being able to improve on his flaws, he's had since college. Carr literally struggles with the same things he struggled in college.
Carr reminds me of a Honda VTEC, it's decent, doesn't break down easily but it's nothing special.
Here's a video of one of Carr's fans.

It may not be breakable, but I’ve heard that a vagina can be bruised. Should be ready by training camp doh.

I can’t remember how many times if he hits wide open receivers in stride they would have walked in the end zone for 6 but much too often receivers had to slow or even turn back towards the ball, catch it and then be tackled. Derek would have many more TD passes in his stats if he had led more receivers. IMO it goes back to his college critiques that he doesn’t see the whole field very well. Oh well, it s a new day, let’s see what happens

https://twitter.com/JoshDubowAP/status/ ... wsrc%5Etfw
Pretty much expected and most already knew this just by looking at his TD numbers. They are average at best besides his rookie year. If he was good in the redzone his TD numbers wouldn’t be so low year after year. It’s exactly why Carr fans always want to talk about his passing yards and whenever they talk about our “offensive ranking” they are talking about yardage not points. They don’t want to talk about points because they correlate way too much to wins and we can’t talk about wins with Derek. Unless it’s a come from behind win of course.

Derek Carr posted this video before the cincy game.
Now that they lost his brother David came out on national television, contradicting everything Carr said in this video.
Hypocrites!

In the immortal words of TO, "that's my Quarterback" so it appears Josh implied Derek Carr will be a Raiders QB beyond next year. It is difficult for many to understand in this thread but Derek Carr is a reason why not only Gruden but Josh McDaniels took the Raiders head coach job. McDaniels said, "Carr impressed me for a long, long time...He’s certainly capable of doing a lot of great things, he’s done them before in his career. I’m just looking forward to getting to know him, how he learns the best, what he does, and how we put this thing around him the best way we can to help him be successful and help our team ultimately achieve our goals. It will be fun to build this thing with Derek Carr as our leader."
