We can have a go at Carr all we want, but...
30 Game-winning drives, which is 19th all-time.
24 Comebacks to win games in 4th quarter, which is 18th all-time.
Saying all that, if we want to move on, as long as we make the right decision, then I'm fine.
What I do not want is to revert to 2003 to 2015.
From the McDaniels thread.
I read a stat that said his late wins divided by the number of opportunities is only 6th ranked for active QBs. "All time" doesn't matter when most QBs are winning games and not eligible for this fluff stat.
So yes, he is 6th best currently playing late in the game which is still pretty damn awesome (and a blast to watch). His huge totals however only really says Carr is losing a lot more than other QBs late in the game and getting lots and lots of chances.
6th best for active QBs is still respectable btw. Just found the conclusion interesting and undeniable.
'All time' is just so laughable. He holds lots of records for losing the most games in N years also, and that just points to this stat being padded if you think logically.
Still don't want McDaniels but if Carr is a keeper to Mark and Mark is playing GM, he makes sense.

Please new GM and head coach, trade this weak QB away and this thread can die. If Raiders give him an extension I don't think I can handle it and won't watch anymore. 8 years of him was way too much. Disheartening to see younger QBs with less than 4 seasons as a starter achieve much more than him. So done with him in silver and black. He's a Walmart Andy Dalton.
Just don't extend Carr. With a new HC, OC, playcaller we should want to see how the fit is before locking in. And Carr, if he wants to win like he says he does, should want the same. Let the two sides "date" for a year before getting married. That's good for everyone.
Makes sense almost too much sense. However I think with Carr's contract having zero guaranteed money on it this is very unlikely to be how it goes even tho it makes sense.

Startin’ to worry that Mark is having a hard time finding a Head Coach and GM that want to keep Carr. That’s the reason for the delay.
f[raiders_icon]ck Carr.
f[raiders_icon]cking self-absorbed, self-infatuated, self-fellating douche.
It’s going to sting like a bitch once he gets his contact extension. Unfortunately if rumors are true it sounded like Mark went on his GM/HC search to find people that wanted Carr.

If Jimmy G was a FA in 2022 I could see it. Trade Carr and sign Jimmy G to a cheap contract then draft a QB....
someone need to knock mark davis out and make him watch mahomes, allen, others and see what they doing over carr
what the f did mark davis see in carr?
I think because he played for Fresno he already came with a fan base. Mark probably enjoyed all the Fresno/Central Valley fan accolades he got from drafting Carr. Plus you had Carr friends and family on NFL network cheering him on for the pick.
Even Khalil Mack didnt stand a chance against the Carr Train

I will take Jimmy G at this point over Carr.
We just need a change.
I was not a fan of the Jason Campbell trade because he was Carr-like in Washington but Hue made it work.
6 coaches and 8 OCs have not made Carr work so lets move on.
When you are going to be 31 next season and have started for eight years you slide out of the "Young Guns" conversation even if you are the best of all time though I think you aren't off in the overall appraisal.
The Teflon Dalton only strikes any fear by beating you before the ball is snapped because your vanilla scheme has too many tells/you have severe personnel flaws and if you are in the prevent (the only real thing as far as I'm concerned) .
It’s disrespectful to compare Dalton to Carr.
Dalton was a great college QB and showed up for the big bowl games. He also won more than 9 games every season with bengals and was 4 time pro bowler. Was he great? No but much better than Carr.
I'd be all for it....At least a new QB and roster has some unknowns to look forward to...I've seen 8 seasons of a guy going full fetal and leaving plays on the field because he's terrified of contact...fumbling all the way...
Would be ecstatic if he went to the Donks,I'm sure Carr in "colder weather" Denver is just what the Donks are looking for
My dream scenario would actually be sending him to the Giants......East Coast out of his comfort zone, cold weather outdoor stadium and a media that would rip him a new one by week 5
.............No way he's open to playing just anywhere, east coast and/or cold weather? He'd retire imo
Heck offer him to Pitt as payback for them screwing us on WR trades the past number of years...Paybacks a bitch
We finally get revenge for Immaculate reception lol

Jimmy G would at least be familiar with the system, where as Carr would have to learn a completely new system. Plus McDaniels was Jimmy G's QB coach when he was with NE.
