Carr is getting traded and there is no other option at this point. David Carr's comments were done on behalf of Derek and his agent. David told the NFL that Carr is available for a playoff team.
If the Broncos gets Aaron Rodgers, I feel like we do a full on rebuild. We need a defense and we have no star power on offense besides Waller. We are just in an unfortunate situation where two of the top 5 QB's we play 4 times a year. Throw in Rodgers and we have 6 tough games.

"Gosh the Raiders were SOOO stupid to get rid of him!"
2nd half, when Derek is stomping all over his own d*ck, it'll be everyone else's fault. The oline, the receivers, the run game, the play calling, the coaches, the defense.... everyone but him.
They think Lock and Bridgewater has them divided, wait til the Fraud comes to town. LOL

In other words, really really really f[raiders_icon]cking peaceful and content.
I'd love to see Carr fail on another team especially Denver...
Yep those 23 TD's and 19 TO's would be sure hard to replace....
Against Carr the Raiders D could actually recover some fumbles....
Good Riddance to Carr but we won't be that lucky with Mark Davis wanting to get rid of him I don't think. Added bonus though if it happened by some miracle, his two Clown Brothers David & Derek would go with him. So would that tool Raider Cody.....
Looks like Irsay is pissed off with his QB in Indy. Trade Carr for Carson Wentz, I can be happy with 27 TD, 7 Int, 8 fumbles. Also, he is younger, stronger, faster.

Is there anyone who want DC out today that would consider keeping him one more season just to get to the 2023 draft?
No one has a clue what Mariota can do...he has only played 3 Qtr's of NFL football for us...would be nice to see him start a few games!
Someone has a clue, just not anyone posting here. Maybe the clues lie in the fact that Mariota barely plays, and when he does, he rarely throws. The Raiders coaches watch him in practice every day; their doctors and trainers examine him regularly. Usually the obvious clues point to an equally obvious answer.

So I think trading him now for 2023 drafts picks, which would probably have more value than if we traded him for this year’s draft picks, would be the way to go.

If they can't get fair compensation trading him I would let him play out his contract. We would still have the option to tag him if he balls out.
I am ready to see him go but want a decent option starting next year. I don't see them blowing the team up coming off a playoff season. Mark will think we are close to competing even if we are not that close IMO.

I believe Raiders have foundational pieces with Maxx Crosby, Hunter Renfrow, and Darren Waller. Derek Carr is actually cheap now, both Jimmy G and Derek Carr will likely get Dak Prescott money. There are no good QB in this year's draft, you might end up with a bust or game manager at best. I hope Raiders inquire about Russell Wilson first.

From David Carr's statement there are only two options. Derek Carr will get a situation where he is happy and signs an extension or he is traded. He is not going to play out his contract in 2022 to usher in a new QB in 2023. Extension or trade, doubt anything else happens.
To the people that think Wentz is an improvement, he fumbles more on average than Derek Carr recently. 17 fumbles in 2019 and 10 fumbles in 2020 in just 12 games. Less fumbles this year, but Wentz had a much better offensive line and they leaned on their RB's a lot. Wentz was a game manager this season.

What's he gonna do? He's under contract.

Any other game manager will do about the same.
