Jacobs and Waller have zero fumbles this year. 6 combined in the previous two years. They aren't fumblers.... quite the opposite. You're seeing something that isn't there.
It's possible to run without fumbling, much easier to avoid than when you're sacked. All it takes is giving a shit. Don't stick the ball out in front of you in one small hand. When Carr ran up the middle for 9 yards in a previous game and fell forward, there was almost no chance of a fumble with the ball tucked in both hands and he didn't even need to take a real hit.
The problem with Waller and Jacobs may not be fumbles, but they drop some easy catches. That one by Jacobs on Thursday showed how he struggles in the pass game. That could have been a TD if he caught that easy pass and made the one guy miss. Waller has had some real bad drops this year. He reminds me a bit of Crabtree. He will make that tough contested catch and then just completely lose focus on the easy ones. Many players have this issue, including some superstars.
The fact of our team is we demand perfection out of Carr and Waller. Some teams have the luxury of having a defense that can win some games if the offense is taking out of the game. We are 6-0 in games where Carr throws for over 300 yards and 0-5 when he is under. This is not all Carr though. If our WR's make some big plays we win. This shows how one dimensional we are. Our defense is improved this year, but it is still not good enough to win a game if our offense sputters. Jacobs and our Oline has been putrid the last two years. Coverting on 3rd down is not always on the QB. How many 3 and 1's and 4 and 1's have we failed to convert because Jacobs and our Oline can't get that 1 yard?
We are rushing the ball 3.8 AVG. Only the Steelers, Dolphins, Falcons, and Texans are worse than us. Our O-line depended on three things this year. Having a healthy Incognito, Miller playing serviceably at C, and Leatherwood playing well enough to keep Parker on the bench. None of these things happened. We over drafted a RG in the draft and Parker still gives away every single Pass/Run play. If you want to know if we are running the ball or passing, just watch Parker's stance. He is so crappy that he drops his foot back on every pass play because he is scared of being beat.
Because a QB who can take off can save so many drives and change games. He has the legs and is given enough opportunities but it rarely happens.
I hear ya...I was mainly talking about people complaining when he extends the ball going out of bounds. Im fine with him running...I just dont want him touched. I would rather him slide early than take a hit.
Would love to know how we are supposed to win 4 playoff games in a row. Has he ever been 'Derek the good QB' for 4 games in a row? 3 is the longest I can recall.
That said, he played a really good game for his part.
What?!?!?! Carr is the worst qb that ever played! We need to cut him and resign Jamarcus Russell!

Contact Riff MajesticIt's still way early in the process but I wouldn't be surprised if Sam Howell goes in the 1st round, and as of right now, if he was available when we pick in the 2nd round I certainly wouldn't mind taking a chance on him.

The Line since Gruden hasn’t been an issue our QB LED offence has l, when the D played well for 2 or 3 quarter whilst the O shit the bed we expected the O to get a grip & come through but what happened the O continue to shit the bed
It seems that the blame lies on the O-Line, run game, our WR’s, Gruden leaving, Ruggs, the D isn’t elite so the O can’t be good etc every last thing but Carr that there is the issue he is t the only problem but he is one of them & he is a whole lot bigger problem than some make out

Miller. our Left guard sucks, our center is below average, i don't know why everyone thinks hes good, our RT sucks, and Leatherwood at RG needs to develop. Our oline is not good. Carr has to make up for that. gets rid of the ball quickly etc. we have have edwards and zay jones, come the f[raiders_icon]ck on. these guys aren't very good. they show flashes occasionally, but all we got is renfrow in the slot, and waller thats get double teamed every play. Djax hopefully can open things up moving forward, but we need big upgrades at Oline and need a real #1 WR.

Surely Derek Carr being our leading rusher a couple weeks ago has nothing to do with our oline.

Oh imaging having a QB who every time push comes to shove we need to win because it matters he shits the bed but it is everyone elses fault
