A very tough Man...RIP

RIP Pete...

Banaszak played his entire career with the Raiders.

The team drafted him in the fifth round of the 1966 AFL Draft, and he retired after the 1978 season. He led the NFL with 16 rushing touchdowns in 1975, which remains a single-season franchise record.

He won a Super Bowl XI ring, which was the franchise’s first Super Bowl championship.

Banaszak appeared in 173 regular-season games with the Raiders and played a central role in the famous “Holy Roller” play.

Dang....another of the old badasses

RIP

I remember as a kid thinking that the guy who gets the ball down at the goal line had to be a tough SOB. Rest in peace Mr. Banaszak.

Vaya con Dios

Just saw this. That guy was a TD scoring machine and had a long career for a RB. Sucks to see these guys pass on. Hopefully he and Snake are enjoying a few cold ones right now.

The "Rooster! Dude could find the end zone. RIP Pete!

R.I.P Pete

Became a Raider fan around 1974, so I did not get to see Pete play that much in his career; but it nice to see a guy start and finish with the same team; just don’t think you are going to see that happen anymore in NFL….

You all should remember that Pete was the middle man in the Holy Roller game. Stabler to Pete to Casper. Holy Toledo! said Bill King.

RIP Pete. Played in legendary times.

RIP Pete. Old school Raider bad ass
