Well, we are playing inspired football right now so that is the truth.

Being ranked 10th overall to me is now becoming not useless. The team knows our record and the hype surrounding the return of the bad boys of football. Now we need to feed on that. The ranking can push a team to play even better, I have seen it before. I am the one who always says power rankings are only good to create conversation, but I think this ranking and others that the team are surely aware of is both a challenge and an inspiration that they either feed off of or do not rise up to the challenge. I am hoping for the former.

i feel good about top 10 but i know until we beat a good team "we r not top 10 yet " im encouraged that the franchise as a whole is finally moving in the right direction with great coaching/scheming/adjustments

We are so used to arguing about how bad this team is we have no idea what we are doing right now. We are almost dumbfounded over arguing if this team is actually good or not. Uncharted territory for most and certainly for the younger fans.

We deserve it. An undefeated team with power rankings that change every week should go off of win-loss first. We should at least be in the top 10 on every ranking.

Again, it is a power ranking. Record will become more of a factor as the season progresses, but a power ranking bases much of its numbers off of quality wins. Jags rank higher than us in this particular ranking because their two wins were against teams they utterly dismantled, one of which was in the SB last year and their close loss was against the team they beat to go to the SB. And we have beaten three questionable teams.

Wins and losses is a factor. But that only becomes a major factor later in the season. I get it, you want that to not be the case. What you think should be does not negate what is.

Beat KC and that stat immediately means jack-shit.

We contributed to 38% of those 8 combined losses. I don't understand why that stat keeps getting used against us when weve won 3 games that directly caused those teams to stack up the loss column..

Can only beat whats put in front of you.

Agree with Tom Brady 100%. Undefeated is undefeated. You can only beat who's in front of you. Love that Tom Brady, a HOF, sees it how I do when it comes to Power Rankings.

I wonder if Tom is at all surprised at the success the Raiders have had thus far this season, or if he is just sitting back like, "yeppp, knew this was comin'"

I don;t think anyone expected this fast start including Tom. I suspect he wanted to right the ship and send it in the right direction.

Eventually this bubble will burst and will normalize to a rebuilding year with lots of promise and some good times.
