Happy Father's Day

Unread post by vtraider »

To all the Dad's in here I just wanted to take a minute to wish you all a happy Father's Day. Today is a weird one for me. First Father's Day that my son and oldest daughter won't be here. She's with her husband's dad today. And he's stationed in Arizona for the first time away on Father's Day.

Happy Father’s Day to all. Definitely sucks when the kids grow up and go their own way.

It really does. I still have my adopted daughter close at least. But the other 2 I've seen every Father's Day for over 2 decades. So it's a little weird

Definitely not the same when the kids have flown away...no more breakfast in bed, no more presents, especially those damn ties that I'll never wear.

Yup... Aqua Velva and Old Spice....ugh.

But seriously, if you use it at all, this is my fav...makes your freshly shaved face feel great...nice light smell too.

Happy Father's Day to you dad Raiders fans. I did things a bit different -- I did not have a kid until I was 54 years old (my wife was 46 when she was born). I would not have been a great dad and husband in my 20's and 30's as I had some growing up to do and to build a career. She is home from college right now before she head overseas for the summer. No aftershave or neckties from her as she knows that I don't need anything, e.g., she got me a Seinfeld trivia game for my recent birthday. One great thing about her is her deep knowledge of rock and roll circa 1960-1975. Yes, a Led Zeppelin fan but even bigger Grateful Dead fan. However, she turns me on to new contemporary music so it goes both ways. Enjoy the day and every day with your progeny.

Now you are obligated to tossing out some Seinfeld trivia from time to time
