I turned 75 years old this morning....
Born May 30, 1951 in Eureka California. Been a Raiders fan since September 1969. So most of my 3/4 of a century has been with the Silver and Black. I'll never give up the hope of winning a fourth Lombardi Trophy. Two major health issues in the book now, and slowly getting better from each surgery. The support from the Forum was wonderful and so much appreciated. It gave my wife a new angle on Raiders fans and football fans in general.
If you care to, tell me if you are in your 70's. Just curious but no big deal.

Happy Birthday.
On the outside looking in. Not in a hurry for that milestone but will accept it with grace once I get there.
Glad you came through the events, at your age they are tricky. But by all accounts, you have kept in good shape with your skiing and such. Makes recovery a bit quicker. You have been a steady presence around these parts so keep it up. I know we have lost a few to the winds of time, most notably HR who was taken by the cancer he endured for a few years. I think he handled his impending with about as much class and calm as anyone I have ever seen, and in my work, you see a bit of it often.
As for the Raiders, I am hopeful for one last shot at the title. But I have come to accept that I may have seen my last title run for the teams I follow. I got to see showtime Lakers, my Evil Empire took home the prize several times fairly recently, and the local boys went to the finals in hockey and did show up for the series. But there is a soft spot in my mind for those three Lombardi's just due to the epic nature of football. You get there, you get one chance to win it all. No series, no ties, you go into it, you take your lumps and three hours later you either hold it up or you watch.

Happy Birthday! 75 is still young lol.
I'm from the Eureka area. Used to drive from Eureka to the Coliseum and back in one day to watch a game. Those were always fun road trips. My old manager had great seats there which caused me to eventually buy season tickets. I've continued season tickets on to Las Vegas.

Happy Birthday old man! Shit. I'm a very much younger (bullshit) 70! Ha! Never did ski though. The lodges were so much more inviting. Hope you're enjoying the day!
