Coming soon: Silver shop

Unread post by Corleone »

For those who aren’t interested, feel free to skip this thread, ,this one isn't for you. But for those looking for a way to spend your Silver Dollars, we’ve got something coming very soon.

You’ll soon be able to use your RaiderStation money to buy badges that display right under your username. To keep things clean, we’ll set a limit on how many show at once, but you’ll be able to pick your favorites (and maybe we'll include a 'see all' pop-up for the collectors).

We’re starting with Legacy Badges to honor Raider legends, like a flame for Al Davis or a snake for Ken Stabler. These will be rarer and cost more points. For the current roster, badges will be much more affordable so everyone can rep a Bowers or Mendoza badge without breaking the bank.

Thanks to your donations, I’ve been able to hire a developer to build this out. It’s a lot of work, but it’s coming together great and we’re in the final tweaking stage.

If you have ideas for badge designs or how they should display, post them here. Otherwise, keep an eye out, the shop will be open for business soon.

Whatever happen to the poker room? If you bring that back you can issue a single poker champ badge that goes to the current leader.

I'll probably give it a try, but to be honest, I don't even know how I accumulated my riches.

But I do have one question....will there be snacks?

Each SB Win should get a badge with the logo from that season
We could add the AFL Championship badge as well
A HOT badge as the legacy and for the SoCal group the LA venue
A Yellow jacket badge for all our inductees
The Madden badge of course
The Flores badge could include his three way SB wins (player, coach and head coach)
But I think the rarest badge of all should represent the fans we have lost to time

agree, many of us have seen all 3 super bowl wins and all of the iconic games over the yrs (long in the tooth) ive lost many friends on a lot of the raider boards during that time...they should all be honored

ive been a raiderfan since 1969 and im here til the end

It had some security issues that are a lot of work to repair, considering it didn't really take off the way I hoped, it's on the back burner, probably has to be completely recoded to be honest.

This is what I was hoping for, will work on this (gold jacket is already done, and was thinking of a Madden badge as well). May also add a chucky one too just for fun.

Would vote for a Bo-badge over Chucky myself

I think the more you separate the badges, the more they will get lost in the shuffle. One badge for all the HOFers would do the trick in my book.

But we do have some iconic games that deserve consideration
Sea of Hands
Holy Roller
Heidi game (that would be a fun one)
Index Card game
Ghost to the Post

How about a badge then for all the great tight ends in Raiders history including Bowers?

Well, I am not opposed but we have three position groups we are known for, Oline (with center being prominent) CBs and TEs. But we have also had some of the great WRs ever. Hard to pick in my mind which one's you would exclude.

That said, I want a walrus badge.
