And 8 of those teams are looking forward to the extra “Home” game in Vegas.

I really hope the Raiders use a bit of patience with FM...Considering our schedule and all of the issues/questions on our roster that also need to be addressed, I think it would really be unfair for him to be pushed into the starting role too quickly.
Let him get acquainted with his team mates, Coaches, play book, etc., before throwing him to the wolves.
...and then, maybe at least midway through the season, we can let him get his feet wet?

That’s the thing with Vegas, the Raiders are one of the many attractions. Locals that weren’t already Raider fans probably saw a game like they went and saw Cirque du Soleil, once. It will never be a “Home”. Maybe after a slew of winning, but even then I wonder. Raiders have a rabid fan base in Oakland and Los Angeles. Big Al would have made LA happen again. (I don’t think there was anything they could do to get a new stadium in Oakland. Not with taxpayers money at least.)
Davis got shown the cash he’d make and Jerrah led him by the nose right into Vegas.
I really f[raiders_icon]cking hope winning will cause locals to jump on board, but football bloodlines run deep. Your team is your team regardless of the city, or even country, you live in. That stadium doesn’t get filled with Raider fans until they’re winning, and even then, it doesn’t get filled with new Raider fans, kids that are now 6 years old, start begging their parents to bring them to the game.
If Doofus had any of Big Al’s good genes, he would have moved to LA despite what the NFL wanted. The Raiders would have landed there so hard it would have shook the Chargers back South to San Diego.
Having said all that, nothing is more exciting for a football team than a new quarterback.
Mendoza, a nation awaits your arrival.

That stadium has been blacked out. The raiders let them down. I’m a consumer and Raider fan. I haven’t seen been there because I don’t trust the team. I won’t spend my money on the product we’ve been given. I highly doubt I’m alone in that thought process.
Being a winning team also makes it less attractive to opposing fans for the same reason.

To tell you the truth; I don’t think anybody saw what would happened to the raiders once they moved to Vegas where visiting fans would outnumber the home team fans….GoodTimeCharlie wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 5:43 am That’s the thing with Vegas, the Raiders are one of the many attractions. Niners, Cardinals, New England and the Jets on the road. 2 and 2 split there. 0 and 3 on the road against our division. Toss in Browns and Saints. Wins.
4-5
plus 4-4 at home
Equals 8-9. I'll take it.

I think 8-9 is looking for too much with a rookie QB, new offensive and defensive systems and a bunch of new players and a general focus on the future instead of on right now. Our goals need to be that we're competitive and showing development instead of looking to get to mid-pack immediately. Then just be happy if we outperform that and get to 8 wins or more.
