He did a good job coaching Jay Schroeder up in 1990. AFC Championship game notwithstanding.

I remember we went 8-0 under his tenure, then lost the final 8 and out of the playoffs. Al fired him on Christmas Eve. RIP Coach

Was that when Hoss went down ? I think we were running the west coast offense and dominating teams, than insert Vince Evans and Al completely abandoned the west coast offense and that was that.
