Return of the Coin- Part IV

Unread post by Willmark »

(With apologies to Return of the Jedi...) And yes I am aware that ROTJ was part 6, this is simply the fourth time for the thread.

Same as the last few years:
Bi-Centennial Silver Dollar, flipped once
Heads= Raiders win
Tails= Opponents win.

The Results

Preseason

Week 1- @ Seattle Seattle / Tails = Loss

Week 2- vs San Francisco / Heads = Raiders win

Week 3- @Arizona / Heads = Raiders win

Preseason record 2-1

Regular Season
Week 1- @New England / Tails = Loss

Week 2- vs Los Angeles/ Heads = Raiders win

Week 3- @Washington / Heads = Raiders win

Week 4- vs Chicago / Heads = Raiders win

Week 5- @Indianapolis / Heads = Raiders win

Week 6- vs Tennessee / Tails = Loss

Week 7- @Kansas City / Tails = Loss

Week 8 BYE WEEK

Week 9- vs Jacksonville / Heads = Raiders win

Week 10- @ Denver / Tails = Loss

Week 11- vs Dallas / Tails = Loss

Week 12- vs Cleveland / Tails = Loss

Week 13- @ Los Angeles / Heads = Raiders win

Week 14- vs Denver / Heads = Raiders win

Week 15- @ Philadelphia / Heads = Raiders win

Week 16- @ Houston / Tails = Loss

Week 17- vs New York Giants / Heads = Raiders win

Week 18- vs. Kansas City / Tails = Loss

Record as predicted by THE COIN:
9-8

And unlike pass years don't sully up your coin predictions with false coins. There is only one COIN.

All kidding aside? Last year people felt compelled to do their own coin flips which resulted in people being confused as to which prediction they were responding to in the thread.

Lets avoid that.

That's why predictions never work, we take too much from last year and just move all of that into the next all the time, knowing there are sizeable changes to each NFL season. That said, you're right, lol!

9 and 8, just like the probability results of flipping a coin 17 times.

Especially since that particular coin is going to come up heads slightly more often than tails

See what you failed to take into consideration is that Philly plays Washington the following week, meaning they will be looking ahead. Injured players will take that week vs Raiders to rest. It's a trap game for Philly. As well, Raiders beat Washington on Madden haha. Sophomore jinx, everyone has tape on JD now.

Correct fans and media will be looking ahead. That's who looks ahead.

Biggest question is will the coin have another eerie if not downright spooky run thus year.

Two years ago it went to like Week 10

Last year it was fairly spot on through 6.

Do you catch it and put it on the back of your hand or do you let it hit the ground? Asking for a friend...

It's not the coins fault that we didn't hold up our end of the bargain.

Flip then catch, place on the back of the hand.
