Does anyone think being 31 has put Carr on the decline?
He used to throw a hell of a football, but watching these games he can't even do that anymore.
I know it seems early in age, but those results are irrefutable. The dude is throwing like Trubisky out there.
Sub 62% completions after 4 years of 68% or better.

Sub 62% completions after 4 years of 68% or better.
He's definitely lost something on the long ball. It began happening last year when he started throwing those balloon balls where before he could put a 40 yarder on a line. It was so bad I wondered if he had an injury to his throwing shoulder that wasn't being disclosed. Now though, even his short-ball placement isn't what it used to be. He's throwing hospital balls rather than throwing low. He's throwing high on short, outside passes too.
He's definitely lost significant zip on the ball.

He has never played this poorly before in terms of accuracy.

No one loses their arm at 31. A lot of QB's play their best ball in their 30's.

It seems painfully obvious that he is missing throws he should make and 68% to 62% completions is huge. 62% is damn near the bottom tier.
Like Oppo said also, even on the ones he completes the ball placement has been poor.
He used to be able to make passes that maybe 5-10 NFL QBs could make and I always credited him for his physical ability. These huge misses though, time and again, that is new.
Hell for three years he was a top rated deep passer also (Not in quantity, but in completions per throw), and he has been awful this year. He had a 6 passer rating on deep throws before the Titans for example.
9/27 in the redzone iirc and even adding drops he would only be 12/27.
Something seems to be going on, this is new territory imo. Just curious if it is standing out to others.

Agree on Carr being off. If you go back what about 10 games? He’s on maybe his worst 10-11 game streak of his career. He’s usually a mixed between elite, average and bad. He’s just been bad to average. We have seen elite Carr in a long time

Do you think a team like the Giants would trade for Carr?
Colts like their vet QBs,Ryan is washed ,you think they would?
Just thinking out loud if any team would take him and his contract on.Could really change the fate of our franchise.

Guys are always going on about him being able to make all the throws but is that even true at least practically and in the heat of a game CONSISTENTLY?
Magic 8 Ball says...meh.
I'm gonna push back on this one. This throw is the new expectation for top tier QBs, and Carr is consistently paid like one. It's not an easy throw, but it's a throw he should make considering he is our highest paid player and has teacher's tenure when it comes to job security. He's simply not that good. If he were, he would make those.
It's not an easy throw what he did. But he didn't have to do it that way. He had plenty of yards in front of him with no defenders close and he could have and should have taken two steps forward and stepped into the throw...and that would have made the throw a lot easier mechanics wise. But carr being carr he does that and makes a stupid and weak throw.
