The closest you come is David Carr who got 5 years, and then maybe Archie Manning? Archie lasted longer and never had a winning season. 10 years and part of an 11th. With the Raiders, the closest I can come to what Derek has experienced is Jano. He was either loved or viewed with various levels of indifference.
Don't disrespect Archie Manning throwing him in with this coward named carr. Archie was a helluva QB, but just drafted by the worst team in NFL history.....at that time. If he goes to a good team he's a certified HOF matieral.

I've argued with him many times and he never pulled this card and got high-handed.

So basically I'm the only person who can design plays for Carr to succeed and win a Lombardi with, but I've never pulled this card because I'm humble.

FYI the system EP used was run heavy, but the system can be used in a less run heavy offense. Most systems get modified to the personnel over time. McD has used it with various packages and even if you use a specific system, there is always bleed over to other systems as well. Even Gruden his first time around, using primarily the WCO also incorporated Davis's deep strike offense as well.
There are no longer any purists when it comes to offensive systems, most all of them are hybrids
I respect the fact that you aren't talking out of your ass but you're missing the forest for the trees...E-P was a heavy run first , pass over the top offense that no one runs vanilla anymore and most teams that run it use it as a system for it's terminology not as an offense itself but a shell for the concepts they want to run. i know this because analyzing it is part of what i get paid to do everyday and we also ran it when i was in college. And since this is the Carr bash thread I'm not going to keep belaboring the point derailing the thread further
Yes I’ve used the word hybrid multiple times. Nobody uses a specific system alone anymore. They are all hybrids. The patriots last year were about 48/52% run Vs pass.
This all started when you said jokes didn’t play in the same system last year that Carr is this year. My real question is why would McDaniels completely switch the offense he was brought up in and ran for his whole career? I’ve seen no mention of him switching systems anywhere. So bring this back to our current qb. Please show where McDaniels is running a new system this year?

We are being forced at times to deviate from the process due to in game adjustments, but he is trying to make us a run first offense. It does appear it is based on the EP schemes but we fall back into our own ineptitude all too quickly forcing us to move to more of a spread (kinda of) offense

There was a game last year the patriots threw the ball 3 times against the bills. We’ve seen the patriots use different personnel packages over the last 10-15 years based on personnel from more receivers to more TEs. Josh has run this system for 10+ years. So I think to say this is a different offense than Jones played in last year is dishonest. McDaniels has spread it out and brought it tight. I’ve seen plenty of both this year. That’s what made the patriots so good they went with matchups week to week more so than anything else. I don’t see him changing that

I think we're saying somewhat of the same thing and getting hung up on terminology so let me clarify. You're saying that McD is running the same offense he has for 10 years and is E-P. My contention is that you can call half of the offenses E-P these days because the use it;s terminology to run whatever scheme they want. This is what E-P was first designed to do to make it so a QB can run to the line and simply call out "Ice Cream" or some other word combo to mean "Split-Right 43 Option on 1 Waggle left motion" under the Route tree system.
So here is my point again clearer:
NE was mostly, E-P terminology for an Air raid/Cory base offense based upon it's most popular concepts that are run
Now it's:
E-P terminology for a Spread 4 with Power concepts offense.

Nor does it change the fact that Carr is sucking ass this year with a remarkably similar system to the one Mac Jones learned in an offseason.
More excuses for 'why Carr sucks', which is just white noise at this point. He should try not sucking.

9th year yet worse than a rookie, who is surprised? Not I. Carr is a mental midget.
I didn't mention anything about Carr in my posts because it was never my mission to defend him, just wanted to clear up what offense we're actually running as a team.
I won't continue the debate but i will say that to say both of those 2 offenses are similar is incorrect but that's a technical discussion for another thread on another day.
