In the bears trade they would have to sweeten the draft pot some more. The next two would be immediate no goes and the last one is laughable. So we send Maxx to the chargers for what is essentially one 2nd pick. On top of that we give the chargers the firepower to sack our new QB. Nothing like undercutting what little credibility you may have had to begin with as a "journalist".raider_kin wrote: Fri Feb 20, 2026 10:44 am Trader Speculation from the Espy heads.

No for sure to 3 of them. Don't know enough about Godwin to opine on that one.
The other two receivers are RIGHT OUT, attitude and/or contract.
The trade with Diego is just silly; Maxx for a 2nd, 6th and 5th (in 27)? Put the bong down boys.

I don't want to acquire any more receivers with the "entitled / hey, look at me" attitude who bring as much baggage and drama as they do talent...I've seen it many many times.
Here's an idea, how about if we actually draft and groom a "talented and intelligent" receiver of our own and bring him along and let him mature in the Raiders system, instead over-paying for someone else's problem and then trying to shoe horn him into our system?

Replace DJ with Odunze in the Chicago trade and I'd do that and not think twice. If the Chargers one came to fruition, I'd go to headquarters and do a hostile takeover myself16 to 88 wrote: Fri Feb 20, 2026 10:28 pm In the bears trade they would have to sweeten the draft pot some more. I have some reservations on Odunze but I'd do that trade as well. If we could somehow land Ioane with that later 1st I'd be thrilled out of my mind. Even if we have to give that 3rd right back up to move ahead of the Chargers at 22 to grab Ioane.Hellbound wrote: Sat Feb 21, 2026 6:10 am Replace DJ with Odunze in the Chicago trade and I'd do that and not think twice. Yeah Im not enamored with Odunze but would prefer him over DJ every day of the week. Not saying DJ isn't good or worthy of being involved in the trade, just rather get a younger guy in returnBoKnows81 wrote: Sat Feb 21, 2026 6:59 am I have some reservations on Odunze but I'd do that trade as well. Didn’t watch any of Odunze last year but he was fun to watch in college. That kid fought for footballs

Unfortunately, being a Diva goes with the territory of being a WR. In every other position, whether you succeed or not on a play depends primarily on you. If youre a S or CB, you broke up the pass or let it happen. If youre a LB you made or missed the tackle. If youre a DT you beat the OG or got pancaked. If youre a RB you broke a tackle or fumbled. If youre a WR your success doesnt just depend on nailing your route. The QB has to see you and deliver a catchable ball. Those guys are incredibly athletic with their circus catches. Its gotta be frustrating for them when they fake their coverage out of their jockstrap and the QB either throws a bad ball or dumps the ball off on a swing pass to the RB.raidersince63 wrote: Sat Feb 21, 2026 2:51 am I don't want to acquire any more receivers with the "entitled / hey, look at me" attitude who bring as much baggage and drama as they do talent...I've seen it many many times.
