Same with the GM they want him goneXramfan wrote: Sun Oct 05, 2025 9:15 pm Whatever lol.... Pete will likely be around for most of his contract.
Emotionally driven thoughts want him hung right now
Logic dictates he has a past successful record so lets let him ride for a couple of seasons. He may fail....he may not
The "instant gratification" culture is screaming right now
Remember laughing at a certain poster (Random1234567) who said all coaches should only sign a 1 year contract? Everybody here correctly called him a fool and he was banned
Seems some here now believe the same theory lol.
Logic wins over emotion folks
I keep hearing we should of kept Telesco which i wasn’t against but the minute he was going to stick with AP that should have been & was the red flag to replace him
People wanted a young highly touted GM candidate who has been integral in his previous regimes drafting process & day to day business but now they want him gone
I think the plan maybe have been bring in Pete let him work on the team for a couple of years knowing we are nowhere near competing, which then would allow a young GM to build with an experienced HC for a few years before bringing in his own HC who then has a roster to work with

After they missed on Vrabel and Johnson there was no plan. They decided to go with Carroll because they missed out on their preferred options and knew Pete was just a short term option they hoped could make the opportunity more attractive for the next candidate they plan to hire.CWood24 wrote: Mon Oct 06, 2025 2:20 am Same with the GM they want him gone

This is purely a stop gap move but I don’t they they counted on the team regressing under Pete and it seems that’s the case. I don’t see the Raiders retaining him after this year unless real improvements occur.- These users gave a High Five to the author Corleone for the post:

Sounds like a Geno fan who came here after we got him. Geno is what he has always been. Mediocre. He’s been terribly bad this year but he will likely average back out at some point. We need to find the guy.

I alway thought Pete was a stop gap move same with GenoCorleone wrote: Mon Oct 06, 2025 2:41 am After they missed on Vrabel and Johnson there was no plan. As terrible( that’s an understatement, i know) as Geno has been the deal for him wasn’t a bad deal, i wasn’t all in on him but a 3rd for who had been an average to above average QB at times was a solid deal
I don’t think any QB was coming here & looking good with our OL woes
I was sceptical on this team competing it was a gimme year for me, 4 wins tops was my thoughts.
Carroll & Geno for me gave Spytek time to evaluate & react to the needs of the franchise
Drafting guys Rogers & Grant kind of gave me the impression they knew we weren’t ready & they took high upside developmental guys
I personally think we should trade Meyers on & give Bech playing time

So many weird decisions with disastrous results. I really hope things turn around but man was I wrong about Carroll.

Mike McDaniels clearly isn’t a great head coach. He had one decent season and they have been falling apart ever since

Us hiring Mike McDaniel would be like the Browns hiring Mangini after he'd washed out in New York.Raidernation1979 wrote: Mon Oct 06, 2025 4:46 pm Mike McDaniels clearly isn’t a great head coach. He had one decent season and they have been falling apart ever since

I think this version of Pete Carroll is trash but I'd take his left pinky over rolled up sweatpants boy Mike McDaniel.

f[raiders_icon]ck that cross dresser. I have never been a McDaniels fan, neither Mike nor his father's love child Josh.LayneStaley wrote: Mon Oct 06, 2025 4:45 pm

McDouche can come back and light the flame in honor of getting rid of the turd lolRainman56 wrote: Mon Oct 06, 2025 8:12 pm :clown:  McDouche did accomplish 1 good thing that Gruden wouldn't.He wasn't "staying with that mofo" Gruden could have had Brady which woould have likely changed the culture more than anything else but Gruden quashed the deal at the last minute.Gruden 2.0 was a disaster...Chucky got soft on QB's,never thought I'd see Gruden with "kid gloves" on....Imo it was worth the year of $hit with McDouche, what was one more after the previous 9 :paperbag:
