The Dodgers are not going to have to worry about the Yankees. Dodgers acquire Skubal, a 29 year old with consecutive Cy Young awards. And the Yankees are looking at DeGrom, an oft injured 38 year old who is owed 12 million more this year and 36 million next year. And of course they also added another 1B/DH because they dont have enough of those types clogging their roster. If the competition in the AL wasnt so putrid, I doubt the Yankees would be in contention for a playoff spot. I think Judge is at the start of his decline phase. Cashman needs to go. Stein needs to sell the team. I dont see them winning it all again with those 2 running things.

Well, the Dodgers did something that the rest of the league might complain about, but they didn't buy anything this time. Just have a first class farm system and develop great young prospects, and trade them for a major league all-star.

MLB made some great strides in making the game a better product. Don't stop there....a salary cap is needed and the players need to understand this.
