Good riddance.

Who cares. They will just use it on a kicker from South Dakota State they want to convert to a TE.

Three TE currently in the NFL came from SDSU, plus Adam Vinateri kicked there. But, converting a kicker to a TE would be a neat trick.Sold My Soul wrote: Mon Aug 25, 2025 6:47 pm Who cares. They will just use it on a kicker from South Dakota State they want to convert to a TE.

I'm told several teams already have preliminary interest in #Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers, pending Las Vegas growing inclined to move him, per league sources.

What could they get?
Hard to say, maybe a high third-round pick with potential to become a second-round pick? If the Raiders let Meyers walk in free agency in the offseason, they could be in line for a third-round comp pick in 2027.

He is signed for 11 million. If that 1 year is worth 20+ million that's a lot of surplus value the acquiring team is going to get for an 11 million dollar cap hit. Should be at least a high 3rd round pick. Maybe a 2nd if the acquiring team is at the bottom of the draft sequence.Sold My Soul wrote: Mon Aug 25, 2025 7:02 pm What could they get?

Because of the cap room the raiders have and lack of top free agents it's highly highly unlikely Meyers will result in a comp pick next year.

I thought the only way we would get a Comp pick for JM is if he leaves via FA next year. Then all the FA signings that a team makes and all those that leave FA and their Salaries are input into the Donkulator Machine and the results of those calculations determines if and how many 2027 COMP Picks a team receives. It wouldn’t shock me if I’m wrong about this.

If he plays out this season...some team going to give him a big payday and we hopefully get a 3rd comp depending on his stats. I'm guessing a 4th. Dude certainly won't resign here. My guess is he's a Raider until some WR goes down on a contending team and he gets traded. Either way it's a late round 3 or a 4th...Cruisin with Tooz wrote: Mon Aug 25, 2025 7:28 pm He is signed for 11 million. That is not how comp picks work. Players you sign cancel out players you lose. We have a boat ton in cap room and few free agents other than Meyers. Next off-season we almost certainly sign more than we lose meaning Meyers loss is cancelled out and no comp pick.Sold My Soul wrote: Mon Aug 25, 2025 7:47 pm If he plays out this season...some team going to give him a big payday and we hopefully get a 3rd comp depending on his stats. It's a complicated formula...if he plays out the entire season and signs elsewhere, Raiders won't be compensated until the '27 season. If the Raiders trade him this year before the trade deadline to a contender, whatever pick they get for him will be a lower end pick because the team will certainly be in the playoffs.
How convoluted is the process.....
