"Look guys, other quarterbacks who have won multiple playoff games and Super Bowls had a rough day too! Therefore, Carr is elite!!!"
The deep ball to Adams the Chargers picked off pissed me off so bad I nearly threw the remote through my tv set. Adams was open. Adams threw his hand up the EXACT MOMENT Carr should have thrown the ball, but Carr was late as frick, and because Carr was late Adams outran his arm strength and, of course, it was picked. He has nearly zero anticipation at times.

It's the same old thing with Carr, and I'm sick and da*n tired of watching it.
A lot of Carrs thing with the deep ball is that he just doesn’t step into them. Definitely late on the throw too but if you’re gonna attempt that when he did you’ve gotta put everything you’ve got into that throw. He launched it from his own 45 and by the time he released it that almost needed to go to the back pylon. Unless you’re josh allen you’re not gonna be able to throw 65 yards on a jump pass.

Geno climbed the pocket and extended plays with his legs over and over again, if Carr does that yesterday the outcome would've been different.

I don't know why he's trying these "cute" little jump-throws like he's trying to make a highlight reel. Or throwing off his back foot. Just STEP into the damn throw.
Maybe he does this bullshit in practice to show off? And he continues doing it in games? Because it needs to stop right now.

Def played much better than Carr did in his game yesterday. Russ looked good as well. Carr is easily the worst QB in the division and maybe bottom 3-4 in the AFC as a whole.

He had a ball go off Adams face and another go right through diggs hands. Should’ve been two easy picks. The TD to Jeudy was a bad throw too - fortunate it was a rookie DB that never looked for the ball. On 3rd and 15 he took a 1 yard pass to the RB with time to settle for a 65 yard field goal. And this is against the Seahawks.
It's a comment that many of us have said but the source you're quoting is interesting because that was essentially the Alex Smith situation with the Chiefs..... and they were drafting well back in the first but said f[raiders_icon]ck it, and sent a package of picks to move up and get Mahomes.

Personally I've not given up on 2022, or completely given up on the slim chance that this elite set of targets helps Carr get to a new level. I don't expect it but one game is not the end. I've just never believed that changing WR is a franchise altering (or QB altering) move.
Unfortunately the poster(s) at CP got this one right, as many of us here have as well.

There have been plenty here that have pointed out that DC isn’t good enough to win the SB without a lot of help and tends land us in the midrange of the draft. Add to that our colossally bad first round picks as of late and here we are.

Unfortunately it’s not one game, this is what Carr has always been. Hopefully he gets it together next week.

I’d trade the fuckin farm for Bryce young. He’s going to be special on the level of Herbert or mahomes. Especially with an insanely talented offence

So the excuses i have heard from Carr fans on twitter ( although they seem to be the minority) are as follows:-

1. The OL was absolutely trash every play

2. The receivers couldn't get open every play

3. The Defence has to concede less for us to win

4. McDaniels playcalling was abysmal

5. They need time to gel

6. They didnt play any snaps in preseason

4 will need time to develop but again there were some greats plays dialled up & some baffling ones

5 & 6 are true of the entire league

2 just isn’t true to me it looked like Carr was staring his buddy down every play he was on the field

3 it would be good but 24 ppg would have put us around middle of the pack last year & with that star studded offence scoring more RB an 24 point shouldn't be out of the question

1 i have issues with because i felt as the game went on they seemed to play better & there were times when Carr had time in the pocket plus more had he used that pocket, everyone of those sacks could have been avoided with a little bit of movement in the pocket instead of being a statue

The denial with Carr fans is real because this was one of the worst games i’ve seen him play

My worry is that Carr has always been a fast starter then drops of at the half way point if we dont get that fast start this year then we’re going nowhere i’m afraid to say
They talked about it on ESPN last night, how all these playoff teams looked like shit yesterday. Including the Rams getting blown out on Thursday.

All of these teams rested their starters during preseason, and it showed.
Resting starters the entire preseason is not a good recipe for any team. A team with a new staff and personnel only makes the decision more of a head scratcher.
