2026 Draft - Raiders & all teams (April 23-25)
Obvious Mendoza #1 no consideration of trading that pick.
But who you got picks 2 - 4 thats going to help Mendoza.
#2 Raiders should be able to select WR Chris Bell or WR KC Concepcion with our early 2nd.
#3 I forget who it was, but someone here mentioned that the best pure dominant RT coming out of college could be got in the 3rd. And stated hes played his whole career at RT, and not being moved around the line.
Sounds like solid gets
Id hope the rest of the draft is building the trenches, with maybe 1 DB in there
Who else you like ?

I wasn't really referring to the 2025 draft class but I do think we have a pretty good idea. Jeanty is a stud, Bech will be a solid #2 possession WR, Porter I wasnt a fan of since he was strictly a Pete CB (long n tall) so if he develops I'd consider that a bonus (not holding my breath), the O linemen were developmental to begin with regardless of who drafted them, the DTs were bad picks, Thornton lacked the college production to make an impact in the NFL, Mellott and Cam Miller are no longer on the team and Lindenberg is a special teams/backup level player at best. The important unknowns are the O linemen but I think they will be upgraded this year in the draft. We shall see.RickRyb wrote: Sat Apr 11, 2026 8:42 am True for some, but too many young/new players barely took the field. And when they did get an opportunity, they were ill prepared. I don't think there is anybody from the 2025 draft that we or The Raiders know where they stand as professional NFL players yet.

For some, yes, for others it is not an excuse but pretty factual really. We saw quite a number of guys who left and then took off. And mostly it was guys who finished their first contract and were on their second. You have to play the odds there and say either the system or the coaching is to blame for a number of guysBoKnows81 wrote: Sat Apr 11, 2026 8:30 am Meh. I'm tired of that excuse. At some point, we have to accept that some of these guys just can't play, regardless of coaching. I don't think there's any helping guys like AO12, Tyree, Pola-Mau. They are what they are.

I'm not comparing the two in a greater sense, but Nailor is damn near identical to JSN in size, speed and play style. 5'11-6'0 205 with 4.5 speed, just gets open and great hands.CWood24 wrote: Fri Apr 10, 2026 11:21 pm If we talking need on offence outside of OL then i don't think it’s WR, i think it RB because Jeanty cannot & should not carry the full load if we want him to be the talent we know he is
With who we have right now it looks like we have the guys to fill in every role but that Charbonnet physical type runner to pair with Jeanty
Nailor/Tucker = Shahid
Bech = JSN
Bowers = Kupp
Jeanty = Walker
??? = Charbonnet
Mayer = Barner
Heyward = Ouzts
Individually the production or talent might not be as good at some positions but the fit & scheme might spike that especially with someone like Nailor
If we could grab physical runner like Jonah Coleman or Adam Randall in the mid rounds to relieve Jeanty i think this offence could be sneaky good
I’m a build the trenches guy if the talent is equal & it is where i think we should prioritise, if a guy like Cooper drops that is to good to pass over at 36 then we have to take them.

I agree with the players you listed but I do think Chinn is a piece that is at minimum above average. I think he brings some value to the team and we need an addition before a subtraction at the position.BoKnows81 wrote: Sat Apr 11, 2026 8:30 am Meh. I'm tired of that excuse. Sure, but they are the outliers. Most can't play.Attyla wrote: Sat Apr 11, 2026 9:17 am For some, yes, for others it is not an excuse but pretty factual really. Chinn is an ideal safety if it were the year 2000. He's a throwback safety that can easily be upgraded this year. But if you told me we'd upgrade Pola-Mau and kept Chinn as a starter, I could live with that.Viper wrote: Sat Apr 11, 2026 9:19 am I agree with the players you listed but I do think Chinn is a piece that is at minimum above average. I guess we will see. I am betting heavily on this staff to find the best out of these guys.

Reasonable take. We know we’re not fixing everything in year one but start with the obvious ones first. You’ve already started a good list.BoKnows81 wrote: Sat Apr 11, 2026 9:21 am Chinn is an ideal safety if it were the year 2000. He's s throwback safety that can easily be upgraded this year. Oh I completely agree. I have high hopes with this staff. We'll see after the draft who they currently value on the team.Attyla wrote: Sat Apr 11, 2026 9:26 am I guess we will see. I am betting heavily on this staff to find the best out of these guys.

Are you saying guys like AOC should get a fair shake? He shouldn't be judged by his play? How about the other players that just flat out sucked? Abram, Parham, Tillery? At some point we need to stop with the excusesAttyla wrote: Sat Apr 11, 2026 8:13 am I think judging anyone based off the last three coaching staffs is utterly unfair to any of the guys who were on those teams. McDaniels, Pierce and Carroll trashed this team

Well, there has to be some intelligence to this. O'Connell is not a system fit. But if you think about it, I think you have to evaluate the players based on the film. I do think there are players on the roster who could be good but were bad because of the coaching. It is why I hated the Gruden rehire. He is horrible at teaching rookies. He vastly prefers vets so he does not have to demonstrate how bad he is at actually teaching the game. And no, I don't see what I said as excuses. I think there are 3rd and 4th year players who just got shafted by the coaches. They deserve a shot at being fixed. If that fails, you cut bait and it costs you relatively little.Hellbound wrote: Sat Apr 11, 2026 10:11 am Are you saying guys like AOC should get a fair shake? He shouldn't be judged by his play? Love 3 out of your first 4 picks but falls off significantly after that. Not a big Ramsey fan tho.vtraider wrote: Sat Apr 11, 2026 12:16 pm Ok guys give me your opinion. No trades. In my defense i haven't exactly done a lot of studying on late round picksBoKnows81 wrote: Sat Apr 11, 2026 12:20 pm Love 3 out of your first 4 picks but falls off significantly after that. Not a big Ramsey fan tho.
